Question about Friedrich Air Conditioners

1 Answer

My Friedrich P-09 manual states that to use condensation pump to press both temp and temp- at the same time, when the unit is powered on and the water full light is lit. When i push those keys however it merely locks the controls. How do i operate the condensation pump.

I have the same problem; pressing both buttons does not start the pump. Besides the "water full" light comes on almost after an hour of operation and I'd need to get up and drain manullly. Not getting any sleep.

This is an error code for "Unit cycles more than 9 times per hour". The service manual says the possible causes are "Unit oversized" and "Low load conditions".

In the condensation pan under the unit, near of the outside (outside of the wall or window) housing. If it's clogged it may be difficult to find, as it has a tendency to blend in with the pan. Be persistent and you will find it.

I have a friedrich window unit el25j35. the heat went out last night

Toget proper heat, keep your temp setting at 30+ degree and also mode in "heat"position. If still no heat, check your heating sensor for closed circuit by anOHMs metre. It it's with RV, check power to RV.If it's with heatingelement check power to element. If power is there but still no heat meanselement defective. Replace new heating element. Thanks.
