LCD tv "burn in"..

Hi there, sorry to bother you but i had a quick look at your profile and you seem to know the ins and outs of tv's. I was just wondering if you could please give me some advice on this problem i have encountered for quite a while know. Basically I used to use my tv in 4:3 aspect ratio when i was on the computer. I did not realise that after a while when i had it on the fullscreen (16:9 ratio) that there was a feint black line on the left side of the screen in the exact same place where the edge of the 4:3 aspect ratio was. If you get me there?
so far i have tried a program called JScreenFix which shows loads of pixels quickly changing colour and is supposed to sort out screen burn (which i believe to have). but nothing is working so far.
So could you please help me on this one, or should i be sending my tv back?
Thanks very much,
sean

There is really no way to get rid of burn in. If you can return your set I would as the only way to fix it is with a new panel which is ver exspensive.

Transmission pours fluid next to motor goes in reverse but not drive

There are two lines that run from the radiator to the transmission. Those are the cooling lines.Follow them carefully and you will find the one that's leaking. If the fluid is coming out under the car, between the trans bellhousing and engine, likely you also burned out the front pump seal. If so, don't bother replacing it without having the unit rebuilt, or replace the unit with one from a scrapyard. BUT if you were doing 100mph when the leak began, it is more than likely that you burned out the transmission. The parts in there are very sensitive to low fluid conditions and will quickly burn up the internal clutches if it is low (especially at that speed)
Sorry to have to tell you that but with transmissions, that's what happens and there aren't any easy cheap repairs.

Tv keeps turning itself off

You most likely either have a faulty power supply or high voltage transformer that is failing. You can test them both with a voltmeter or multi-tester. The capacitors on the newer sets seem to overheat and burn out quickly

Hi i have a ploblem i bought this proscan lcd 19inch tv a year ago now it doest turn on

Unfortunately, many new electronics are made cheaper nowdays and the power supplys do burn out quickly. It should be tested with voltmeter to determine if it needs to be fixed or replaced. The power supplies have capacitors and resistors in them that tend to fry out.

We took out the power supply, now where can we send it for repair

my advise... if you are going to send it out for somebody to fix it, don't bother... buy one off ebay... if you have a multimeter and some soldering skills, you can fix it yourself.... let me know if i can help..
