This can be caused by a jam somewhere inside the printer, or a peice of debris such as a small peice of paper, or it may require cleaning...it can sometimes even just be fluke ocurrence.
First, have you tried powering off, then unplugging the printer for 3 minutes, then plugging back in and powering back up?
If that fails, try this:
****************************************
First, inspect and clean:
You may have to repeat steps 1-4, see note below step 5.
1. Power off the printer, then pull the power cord and allow internal memory to discharge and loose memory. Allow 3-4 minutes, then plug the power back in.
2. Open the cover, then press the main power button, count to 5 and pull the power cord out.
3. Wait 30 seconds.
4. *Check to see if the printhead has moved AWAY FROM THE PARKED POSITION AT ALL, OR IF YOU CAN MOVE IT BY HAND WITH VERY LITTLE FORCE. DO NOT use any excessive force.
5. If it moved, you should be able to move it to the far end of the printer so that you have access to the purge unit. With access you can try to un-jam the white plastic wiper blades...this is 75% of the cause of all purge unit jams. Gently press the ink pads down to check if they are free to move down at least 1/4 to 1/2 inch. If you think you found & fixed anything, close the cover and plug in the power, and see if it works.
*If the printhead is still in the locked position, try varying the length of time before you pull the power cord. i.e., try doing it by counting to 3; if that doesn't work, try counting to 8; and try 10. Keep at it and you should be able to catch it in an unlocked position.

If you're still having trouble, reset the printer:
1. Turn off printer
2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
3. Continue holding down the Power button and let go of the resume button.
4. Press the Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
6. When green lights are lit up solid, press the resume button 4 times and let go.
7. Press the power button and the printer should turn off, if not, press the Power button once more.
8. Power your printer back up and see if it works.
Paper jam blow out with air in can.
