Question about Refrigerators
I have a refrigerator that has been acting more like a freezer. The produce in my crisper drawers has been freezing. (Frozen plums, nectarines, celery and cucumbers just aren't very appetizing!)
I have water under the drawers and also on my shelves. I raised the temp in both the fridge and freezer (by 4 degrees above the mfg. suggestion in the freezer and by 7 degrees in the fridge.) hoping that would help with the frozen produce. It hasn't.
I called Sears service and they didn't give me any ideas, just a service call for $200-250. I said no thank you.
My fridge is only 3 years old. This problem started earlier this year. My husband is very handy, so he could probably fix it if he has a clue where to start.
Water under the crisper doors is pretty common, all you have to do is raise the front legs of the refrigerator, Refrigerators have a heater in them that keep everything from freezing, if it wasnt for the heater then it would just be a freezer, now alot of these samsungs have 2 evaps, so if you get a warm fridge, its prob. because a sensor is out or the heater is out and there is ice buildup inside the unit preventing either the fan from turning, or just blocking air flow, but for the water, just raise the front legs and there is a drain in the back that it will go into from now on
