with some of the sound man drivers for motherboard chipsets it gives a BSOD error. blue screen of death. to fix this in the quikest manner i would install a pci sound card and install this one instead of the on board sound.
You'll need to find out what is the chipset on your motherboard. You can always go to the manufacturer's web site and download the drivers. If the sound chip comes from another manufacturer you can go to it's web site and download the driver. But you have to know the sound chip name. Unfortunately motherboard manufacturers don't always use the same sound, video or other peripheral devices. If you're brave, look at your motherboard and try to locate the sound chip. Then go to the website and get the specific driver. If that doesn't work, then you might try a program that will identify your chipsets. www.belarc.com has one.
Please visit the site www.intel.com and select the appropriate chipset of your motherboard and download the required drivers. The chipset model is mentioned on the black square with Intel logo on the board.
Motherboard Sound Drivers for model: AWRDACPI No sound at all after I format my PC.I dont have my mother board CD with me .Please find me a solution for me.My System Manufacturer (GBT_),System Model (AWRDACPI)
Go to Settings, Control Panel, Sound and Audio Devices, check "Place volume icon in the taskbar." In your Device Manager, pls verify that the drivers for your sound card are completely and correctly installed with no yellow or red markings. Likewise, verify that in your CMOS/BIOS settings, the onboard audio has been enabled. The sound driver/installer for an Intel CA810E has the filename 4035full.exe and uses a DOS component.
Should this not work, you might not have an Intel motherboard but one that just uses the Intel 810E chipset. Please post back with a more specific motherboard brand and model.
While it is true that the 810E chipset is by Intel, it does not necessarily mean that the motherboard entirely is by Intel. It could be by Asus, MSI, PCChips, ECS, Soltek or others. The sound therefore need not be the same for all versions of motherboards using the said chipset.
The Intel mb that uses this chipset carries the model CA810E or CA810 which uses Creative Sound Blaster* AudioPCI 128V audio solution or Crystal Semiconductor CS4297 AC '97 stereo audio codec;
The Asus CUWE-FX/RM, FlexATX or i810E uses the same Intel 810E chipset but different sound. Asus can and may use CMI, Crystal, Creative, ESS.
An ECS BKi810E(V7.3) uses the same Intel chipset but C-Media 8738 for sound.
An MSI MS-6188 uses the same chipset. It may have used an Avance-Realtek AC97 for sound.
Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back to confirm that you have an Intel CA810 version or by some other motherboard manufacturer.
