I want to get google chat on my blackberry 8520 curve, but most importantly i need to get skype chat on my blackberry 8520 curve. please can someone help me.

At this point, there isn't an official Skype application for BlackBerry's, unless you're on Verizon in the United States. (They have an official agreement with them). There should be one coming sometime in the future.
Meebo for BlackBerry supports Google Talk, which allows for Google Chat.
