Your propane hose or tank has a leak and the regulator is restricting flow

Loss of gas pressure to burners on Jenn-air Model #720-0062-LP

If you're confident that you have adequate gas in the tank. turn the tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank. Once connected, open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow). Once the valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and turn it to it's highest setting. Does the flame height look correct? If so, light the remaining burners the same way. Do all the flame heights now look correct? If so, you solved the problem. Remember to always open the tank valve very, very slowly.

If the above didn't solve the problem, you are either low on gas or the hose/regulator assembly needs to be replaced. If replacement is necessary, you can find the hose/regulator assembly at any home center or hardware store that sells gas grills and accessories. Take your old one with you for comparison purposes.

Hope this helped you solve the problem. Happy Grilling!!

Grill will not stay lit if using 4 th burner will only work on 3 burners and gas is low

Check that the fourth burner tube is set properly into the unit. Then turn all burners off, turn off the natural gas supply or remove the LP tank. turn all the burners on (don't try to light) wait a couple seconds turn all burners off. reconnect gas source. turn on gas, open burners fully and try to light.

I have a Jenn-Air gas grill model #720-0061-LP it has 3 brass burners and a rotisserie burner on the back wall. the flame from the middle burner is shooting back into the knob causing issues with the...

I have had the same problem before with same exact grill. The burners get clogged and the gas pressure backs up. I have had this actually split a gas valve and the plastic electronic igniters do not have a chance withe the head. Call nexgrill and get all new burners under warranty. This will solve the problem for a while. The latest burners that I received in Aug 2010 are 1/2 inch shorter and may solve this problem. You may want to buy new gas valves since the excess heat in this area may have damaged the valve. Since 2004, I am on my 5th set of burners, 2nd set of gas valves and 3rd electronic ignitor. May just recycle grill and get a Weber or go with charcoal.

Jenn-air model 720-0061 LP burners only light on one side cleaned with wirebrush and blew out with air?

The crossover for the flame to "jump" to the other side of the burner is clogged, rusgted, etc. It looks like a straight cut line on the rear under side of the burner. Nexgrill told me that the burners did not have an adequate amount of "finish" on them. Call them and get all new burners for free under warranty, Since 2004, I am on my 5th set of burners.

Flare behind temperature knobs on jenn-air gas grill

This seems to be a problem for most Jenn-Air users. The burners are defective, rusted or clogged and allowing the flame to "back up." You most likely have a melted electronic ignitor as well as gas valve damage. The new burners that I received this week for my model 720-0061-LP are 1/2 inch shorter than previous versions. Time will tell if this fixed the problem. I would call Nexgrill and get all new burners and inspect the gas valve area for damage. Since 2004, I am on my 5th set of burners, glad they were free since I have a lifetime warranty on my model.

Jenn Air gas grill model 720-0163 will not get above 180 degrees?

Try turning on just one burner to start, once it is on, turn on the next burner, if the flame gets lower on the first burner, you need to replace your regulator.

Grill jenn-air will not heat past 100 degrees

You need to pull the burners out and scrub open the side feedholes on the burner. These ususally clog up over time reducing the heat available for cooking. Also, sometimes the Gas regulator goes bad over time when left outside for a year or two. A bad regulator will put out less gas as it fails closed.

Jenn Air lp grill won't light with the ignitor button

I just finished cleaning our starter on our jenn air. Over time, corrosion, rust and battery acid builds up on both the coils on the lid (positive side) as well as in the battery chamber and negative tip inside the chamber. I used sand paper and sanded the coils in the cap and the chamber. The coils need direct connection to the battery to create the charge. There are no instructions on this that I was able to find. I figured it out after about 3 hours of fussing with it. It worked immediately once I placed the battery back in. You may also need to clean the electrode tips near the burner. I used a q-tip. Hope this helps.
