SOURCE: Mop stopped producing steam while
In this unit the steam is generated by the boiling of a liquid. It doesn't matter what liquid: water, tea, wine, even gasoline - as long as it boils you can use it.
The heat needed to make the liquid boil is generated by a simple resistance controlled by a basic thermostat - if the temperature of the resistance goes over 100C the power to the resistance is cut. So in your case either the thermostat or, most likely, the resistance has failed.
Unfortunately there are no replacement parts for this unit - it's a use and junk device that is cheaper to replace than to repair. Sorry, time for a new one.
