Hi, i'm looking for a replacement lcd screen for my toshiba gigabeat x30.

remove front cover on Gigabeat F40, remove battery. on back of battery a spacers remove those and replace with thinner spacers. I used hi quality insulation tape three layers of and stick back onto battery. Install battery again and it will have fixed the problem. Did it with mine

looks like the player is asking for a firmware update.perhaps u accidentally erased parts of it beforehand and now it is a bit on the blind side..

find a cheap, used or defective gigabeat posted on ebay, buy it, and take out the LCD and replace your broken one

Hi melissa, for sure you can bring it somewhere to get it fixed, so that includes paying for it, and a nice price... ! solution #1 **I recommend to do this only if you'Re sure of yourself** You can check it you're self. The only thing you can repair, is if the lcd screen is unplug inside of the mp3 player.
