Have just receievd a Digimate

Have just receievd a Digimate III Photo Bank. Installed an 80GB Samsung HDD. When conected to PC for iniital HDD format HDD is not being displayed in My Computer to enable HDD to be formatted. When connecting to the PC I can feel the HDD spinning up so it IS connected....
