Question about Frigidaire Kitchen Ranges
My range was doing just fine the other day and suddenly it stopped working. The clock was black and all the eyes were not working. Strange thing however, when you turn on one of the eyes, the oven beeps and the clock lights up and the oven controls seems to work, but they don't.
Your help would be appreciated.
Connect an ohmmeter across the terminals and advance the timer to see if the switches
are opening and closing OK. If not or the motor doesn't run - replace the timer. Since the burner is
inside the oven, you cannot immediately see if it has ignited. Different manufacturers have designed
different methods of keeping the gas safety valve closed, until ignition is guaranteed. The oven
thermostat valve is set by hand to control the oven temperature. In some types of systems, the
thermostat is not a valve at all, but an electrical switch that opens and closes by oven temperature.
The gas safety valve prevents gas from flowing to the burner until ignition is assured. If it has an
electrical thermostat, it cycles the safety valve. On and off as long as there is ignition.

Warning! To avoid personal injury or even death, always disconnect your appliance from its power source--that is, unplug it or break the connection at the circuit breaker or fuse box--before you do any troubleshooting or repair work on your appliance. Also, because some components may have sharp edges, use caution while working on your appliance.

Microwave door switches are simple on/off devices that keep the microwave from running when the door is open. Microwave door switches are usually black and are about an inch long. They have metal terminals on the end that make contact with the door hook or latch. This completes the circuit which allows the microwave oven to run. Without this contact, the microwave will not operate. Check the door hooks and the door-release. If one of these is faulty, the door switch won't activate, and the oven won’t work. If you suspect that the thermal fuse has blown, call a professional appliance repair person. Even an unplugged microwave oven can kill or seriously injure someone. This is because there is a high energy capacitor inside the microwave oven case. If it is not discharged properly, you could be electrocuted.

Hello steve o - Typically error code F11 indicates a shorted keypad. Try resetting the range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. This usually will clear most false error codes. Wait approximately ten minutes and if the error code does not clear contact a professional to move forward accurately. Most likely the EOC on the range will need replacing.

Hello arab125 - I understand that the timer and clock works fine, however from what you have described it sounds like the range could possibly have a wiring failure, faulty sensor, or an issue with the EOC. I would suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately.
