There is no front panel to be removed on this machine. Where the top meets the cabinet there are two clips that hold the top down. Take a putty knife and insert it between the top and cabinet on the left and right side. Push in on the clips when you find them and lift the top. You can now start the washer and see where the leak is coming from. Don't hold the lid up to high or the water will shoot straight out at you while it is filling. (I had this happen to me). You can see all along the sides of the machine. Once you do see a leak you can slide the machine out from the wall and tip it back and have full access to the bottom. Make sure it is tipped back far enough that it doesn't fall on you. I hope this helps.

Leaking at bottom of washer after it spins out not alot of water but a pain in the ****, how do you get in to the back of the washer?

The FAV6800A and FAV9800A only have access thru the front panel and washer top once released fromt the base......no rear or side access. See Pick of Outer Tub removed for Tub Seal and bearing replacement.

Google ""16022808.pdf"" to find the Service Manual.

Page 33 will show ou how to release the top cover and page 41 for front cover removal.

If you have wash water leaking down on the Clutch Pulley I feel you have a Tub Seal leak. The issues could be related to the drain hose/drain pump or cracked outer tub.

I don't troubleshoot on this forum to difficult to carry on thread. Google ""Neptune TL Washer FAV6800AWW"" or ""FAV6800A/FAV9800A Outer Tub bearing replacement"". Two DIY forums I frequent that I feel are true DIY forums.

Stackable washer (bottom), top load leaking water??

Easy fix most likely the water pump is leaking or the hose from tub to pomp. Remove the front cover
themobilian_1406.jpg
A couple of screws at the base come out and you can remove the front.
Run is a while with the cover off to see where the leak originates but
keep the pets and children away from the machine while the cover is off.
Tip it back to remove the belts.

I have a Tromm LG front load washer. WHen I start the washer it leaks out of the bottom. I have checked the back horses and they are dry. How do I fix this?

have you removed the rear access cover on the back of the unit and checked the rear drive pulley for moisture and water damage due to a bad water lip-seal in the machine,if its dry there open the front lower access panel at the floor and look here for a bad drain pump seal,it has to be one or the other

How to remove back from machine

There is a small cover at bottom rear of washer, this is the only access into the washer from the rear.
Simply undo the pozidrive screws, and remove cover.
Any other access is from the top, or by removing the front panel assy.
Hope this helps.

My Maytag top loader leaks at the bottom of the bucket. I took off the front cover and should see that the wahser at the top of the shaft is leaking. Is this an easy fix?

not easy, unit must be stripped to allow access to bottom seals and bearing/s. Special tools needed and a goog knowlege of the wiring.

Leaking

You will need to determine where the leak is coming from, you will need to remove the front panel to investigate, using a flat blade insert between the joint on the top and front panel approx 4" in from each side to release the clips, the top cover will now lift and hinge at the back. Remove two front panel screws, which are now accessible and remove the front panel by lifting off the bottom clips.
You should now be able to see where the leak is coming from and repair as necessary. If you put the top down you can run the machine without the front panel.
The sqeeking could be a wet drive belt.

Leaking

This machine has two removable front panels. At the bottom of the unit are two (2) 10mm bolts. Removing these bolts will give you access to the working parts since this is an inspection plate, The upper panel : There are two (2) 10mm bolts located at the bottom corners. Remove these bolts, pull the bottom of the panel toward you to release the top latches. This will give you full access to see where the water is coming from. I suspect a leaking pump but cannot rule out a bad tub seal.
