I have experienced this problem recently. It is a simple and inexpensive (~$50 shipped to your door...) solution to replace the motherboard. I don't repair motherboards so I cannot give advice on replacing capacitors.

14 month old samsung 32in 530 series lcd tv will turn on fine, then after a few minutes start turning on and off repeatedly for ever...until i pull the power. What do i do, call samsung?

its possibly dry joints on the power supply-the heat generated causes the solder to crack, and when warm creates a "crater" on the affected joint and expands with heat, and loses contact until cool.(retraction).should be easy if you are handy with a soldering iron!.failing that, take it to a repair shop as its out of warranty, and samsung will not want to know! (unless you got extended warranty,of course!)
good luck,steve

My latitude D530 laptop doesnt recognize the ac adapter anymore a screen tells me to reset the adapter, how do you do that. I been using this adapter and battery for awhile now it doesnt recognize it

The AC adapter has a small wire in the center of the connector to the system. This sensing wire, if bent or broken will cause the error you mention.
If it's still under warranty contact Dell Support. If not, you'd better buy one replacement.

My hp d530 is suddenly swithing off

Could be an overheating issue. You can open the case and see if the cooling fan over the CPU is spinning when the PC is operating. If not, you should replace it.

If there is a lot of dust inside, you may want to blow it off with an air compressor, but power off and disconnect the computer first. Also remember to stop the cooling fan from spinning when struck by air from the compressor (you can use a wooden pencil to stop it) to avoid damaging it.

Let me know if this helps, best luck

Hi , I Have A Huge problem in My Hp compaq d530 sff

These computer are know to have bad capacitors. Check and ensure that you dont have swollen capacitor on the motherboard. The HP Compaq desktops are notorious for this. I am almost certain you have bad capacitors.

Enjoy the power of a PC.

Memorex dvd player randomly turns off

There is a progressive scan switch on the back of your player. Flip the switch to the opposite position you find it in. If the unit still turns itself off, or won't play a DVD, the unit needs to be replaced. Memorex doesn't repair their players under warranty anymore. They simply replace them. If you're outside of the 90 day warranty, please call 800-919-3647 to speak with Memorex customer service for other options.

I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here. Please be sure to vote on my response. I hope I've earned a good rating from you today.

Please post a comment if you need additional assistance so that I can help you further.

My subwoofer for my Logeitech Z-5300e THX 5.1 Surround Speakers omits a loud hum whenever the system is activated. How can I get rid of this?

The sound you are discribing is indicative of a short in the audio cable coming from your amp to the woofer. it doesn't mean that you have to replace a cable, but it could mean that one is loose. I would first try to turn on the unit and then start unpluging each speaker from the back one at a time. If the sound stops then you know that the hum is caused by the last speaker cable you pulled out. It is possible that you could make a temporary fix by twisting the cable back and forth where it connects into the back of each speaker. (Though this would only be a temp fix.) Because these cables are hard soldierd into the the actual speaker, there is no way for a person to simply replace the problem cable.

The other possible problem could be with the cables coming from the computer. You might simply have the cables in the wrong inputs. They should be color coordinated. Yellow in yellow, etc. Or with the system on, unplug these cables one at a time to find the problem cable.

If non of these work, I would bring it back to the store for a replacement system if still under warranty.

HP D530 Will not start:

It can't be the RAM, it would be beeping if the RAM was not installed properly. If it was and they were bad, it would fail in Windows.

We've had numerous similar problems to yours with our D530's. Check the motherboard to see if any of the capacitors (round barrel shaped components) are swollen (round on top) or leaking. It is a known manufacturers defect and they were replacing those motherboards for free, unfortunately that program just ended.

If the capacitors are all flat on top, its probably the power supply. We've had four go bad in the past month. They sometimes smell like something is burning before they go bad. The D-530 model is unfortunately our most unreliable model ever, they are junk. Good luck.
