You may not have this wired correctly, these screens require you to wire the unit to the parking brake so that you may not drive while watching videos either from a DVD or SD card. Therefore you must either bi-pass the safety feature or wire it correctly, although in some states having the video feature enabled while drive can be illegal. this is the parental lock code. try turning it off.

You need to have your parking brake engaged to watch dvds.

what you can do is connect parking brake wire to the ground wire, that bypasses it and you will then be able to watch videos .
