RAM can be the problem, but also changed BIOS settings can be the cause. Go into BIOS and select to load default settings, than save and close to see if the problem persists.
Other solution is to perform a checkdisk, perhaps a damaged part of your HD is causing the hang.

Your problem is your PC hangs in between.
See, the problem may be due to RAM. Some times it happens that RAM does not synchronize and causes problem.This problem can be solved by changing your RAM. Avoid using two RAMs.Use a single RAM.Contact your Computer vendor.
