Have a toshiba tp 61H95 proj TV- want to connect panasonic dvd recorder and toshiba vhs recorder so I can copy family videos to dvd- can't get hook ups set up for both to work.

Select AV-1 or some thing in TV and plug DVD recorder Video-Audio output in AV-1 input of TV, playback any DVD and confirm its picture and sound in TV. Press Stop button of DVD recorder to stop playback.
Now plug Video-Audio output of VCR in DVD recorder input and select AV Input in DVD recorder, insert VHS tape in VCR and playback it and confirm you get VHS picture and sound in TV via DVD recorder.
Hookup between TV, DVD recorder and VCR is completed.
Playback VHS tape in VCR, Insert blank DVD disc in DVD recorder and press Record while you see VHS tape picture in TV.
Hope this info will help you.

Hi - I had to have my Sky+ box replaced and it was never reconnected to the dvd recorder. I'm now trying to do this myself using 3 scart leads (which I had done previously) but all I get is a blue screen....

Yellow = VIdeo Red + White = Stereo Audio
Make sure both are connect accordingly, as for the end that goes to the recorder (from the Sky+ Box) make sure it's plugged into the category 'Input' not 'Output' as your inputting your skybox through your dvd recorder and from the dvd recorder 'Output' to the TV.

5.1

Dear wayne,
Please locate audio input socket on your TV, Then Connect audio output of DVD recorder to this input socket. The optical output of TV goes to input of amp. Since the DVD recorder is connected to the TV and TV's out put connected to the Amp. Now the sound signals from tv and as well from DVD will be 5.1 surround from the amp.
If any case this does not solve your problem, please mail me the photo of the back side of TV's connections at my mail.

We have a Philips DVD Recorder a Freeserve Digital box and a TV. Since adding the DVD Recorder we cannot tune in Freeserve at all and DVD's play only in black and white. Help Please. ...

Hi Jack,

And if you remove the DVD Recorder, everything is back to normal?

Initially, I would suspect that your DVD is set to PAL system and not to NTSC (or could be the other way around). Could you pls post back with the exact model number of the Philips DVD Recorder?

Additionally, could you pls detail how the Freeserve Digital box is connected to the Philips DVD Recorder and then to the TV? Pls indicate if you are using Video IN/OUT, S-Video, HDMI, SCART, RF IN/OUT.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
