Question about Xerox Phaser 4500 Printer
Every few pages of printing, my brand new Phaser 4510 printer claims that it has a paper jam and that I should clear it by opening the rear panel. There is never actually a paper jam present… I can sometimes get it to clear and go back to thinking it's ready to print by either turning it off and on a few times, or opening the back cover and fiddling with the latches back there. Is it an oversensitive sensor? Any ideas for how to convince it there isn't a problem?
The fuser exit sensor had an updated version for that model (old model has a "bounce" problem). Xerox gives a 1 year warranty..I would get them out to fix it pronto !
It is also helpful to have the error code. Press the i button while the printer has the jam message on the front panel. Use the fault code to locate where the jam actually is. (This will help the technician greatly ! )
