Screen Calibration Switching the Sony Clie brings up the calibration screen. Using the stylus to tap center of target does not do anything. I have tr?ed hard and soft resets, but it makes no difference

for window phones
1. Press the "Home" key and press "Start." Use the directional pad to highlight "Settings," then press the center or "Enter" button.
2. Use the directional pad to select the System tab. Select "Screen," then press the center or "Enter" button. Select "Align Screen."
3. Using your smartphone's stylus, tap the crosshairs as they appear on your screen. Do this for as many as appear, until the calibration tool finishes. Your screen is now properly calibrated.
for Android phone
4. Press the "Home" button or capacitive area, then press "Menu." Tap "Settings."
5. Tap "Language and keyboard." Tap "Keyboard settings." Tap "Tutorial" and go through the steps that appear on your screen.
6. Once this is finished, turn your phone off and on again. Your keyboard has been adjusted, which activates a re-calibration of the capacitive touchscreen. (Capacitive screens are technically far more accurate that resistive, and so a full calibration tool is not included with Android phones.)

When the Reader device is started for the first time or is reset back to factory settings, the screen must be calibrated. The Reader device will display a calibration screen that requires you to touch the stylus to the center of an "X" at several points on the screen. This is to make sure the touch screen properly recognizes input.
The process requires you to touch the "X" in the following locations on the screen:

• Top left
• Bottom right
• Top right
• Center

If the screen is accidentally touched someplace other than the center of the "X" during calibration, the Reader device will display a message stating Calibration error detected. Please restart calibration process .
If this happens, please start again in the top left corner and touch the stylus to the center of each "X" as it is displayed, being careful not to touch any other part of the screen. After the sequence is completed the Reader device will display Touch Panel calibration completed . Click OK to continue to the next step in the setup process.

Over the time, the touchscreen might have to recalibrate for better touch precision. If you press 1 but it activates 2 in the To calibrate Nokia 5800 touchscreen: Click the menu key > Settings > Phone > Touch Input > Touch screen calibration. There you are prompted to tap centre of target with stylus, where the 4 circles (target) at the corner animates one by one to guide user complete the touch screen calibration process.

Try using your finger to calibrate the screen at first. (If you have difficult to navigate to the alignment screen use the stylus & keyboard to feel out your way) when calibrated to an accepable degree use the stylus to calibrate the sreen, if the target doesn't respond to stylus at any specific piont use your finger. Continue this process till u get it aligned as best as possible. I suspect this problem is caused by specific points on the screen going bad.
