Check your IP address .
Router's IP and your LAN IP should be of same Class

What does a biohd-2 message mean?

That error code means that your hard disk has failed. You can use the hard disk diagnostic test in BIOS for further confirmation. If either short or long test does not pass or causes your PC to reboot, the hard disk must be replaced
Unfortunately the normal solution for this is:
Locate your Recovery disc set or usb recovery media. I hope you took the time to make it.( your HP software asked you to do this)
Purchase a new SATA2 hard disk of equal (500 GB) or greater size. Remove the failed disk and install the new one.
Follow the instructions here and restore your original operating system to the new hard disk.

How to restore factory settings on a dell inspiron 230 using disk

Hi,
if you want to reinstall OS:
Insert the disk, it should automatically open the install.exe thing and you'll need to follow the instructions.

if you want to restore the computer to factory settings and reinstall OS:
turn off your PC
keep pressing the key for boot menu it's F8 or F12 or F11 depending on the PC's manufacturer.
Then there will be either a boot menu or a "Do you want to do a system restore":
a) system restore, keep pressing the key and it will load. Then follow the instructions
b) if it's boot menu, insert the disk, and then select the option which says to load from the CD/DVD. Then follow the instructions.

NOTE - PLEASE BE CAREFUL, IF MAKE ANY MISTAKE, COMPUTER MAY NOT RECOVER.

Hello good day, just remove your SATA cable from your hard disk if your using a SATA type HARD DISK, change with a new one, or try to pull it back and put it back tightly. It's just a loss contact situation. That's why you are receiving that message.

place the cd in the cd room and let the auto run take place. this is not a quick process
it will take several minutes. If the operating system is not loading you may have a different problem

Comtrend Are Junk?

Hi,
What do you mean your computer is freezing? If it's the operating system that is freezing then it's highly doubtful that it's the new router which is at fault. If the computer is slow and unresponsive then clear your internet cache, perform a defrag and also check the drive for any errors.

To clear the internet cache right click on internet explorer and select properties from the list. In the general tab where it says browsing history click on delete and follow the on-screen messages.

To perform a defrag click on the start menu then all programs, accessories, system tools and the disk defragmenter.

To check the disk for any errors click on computer, right click on local disk c and select properties, select the tools tab and check the volume for errors. Make sure you check both boxes to fix any errors found and then be patient as it cane take some time to complete.

If the problem is the internet which is freezing then perform a speed test on your internet connection and compare the speed to what your supposed to be getting. You can perform a speed test here >>>>>>

http://www.speedtest.net

If the speed isn't what it's supposed to be then of course get your own router.
I do recommend Netgear myself as i will only have them routers for my own personal use.

Regards.

I have a Dimension 2400 Celeron desktop. Can I put in a wireless card?

Hello

Yes unless the PCI slots are already being used. Buy a Linksys or Dlink PCI wireless card and follow the instructions very carefully. You will be at some point opening the case. Make sure then power is absolutely disconnected. I'm assuming you do have a wireless network already? If not then you'll need to purchase a wireless router also.

Hi.i'm having trouble connecting my dlink router to my internet.i ran the dlink software & the repair connection with no results.if i unhook the router i can connect to my isp.help

Can you get into the routers web page (typically 192.168.1.1)?
Did you try resetting it to the factory defaults? Go over the instructions, reset to factory defaults, and try setting it up manually without the disk. If you don't know how, ask someone to set it up for you.

It's also possible the router is bad. I had another router brand that was acting crazy. Turned out it was defective. I replaced it and since have had no problems.

Hi I live in Australia and have brought D-link dir-300 Wireless G router 1st off I have on screen D-link Quick router setup Quick router set has discovered that you are already connected to a router...

Dlink routers are fairly easy to set up most of the time, I've used several of them over the years. What the heck is this tower you keep speaking of? Is it a second computer or is it THE computer for your desktop monitor. Your explanation leaves a lot to be desired. I've never seen a commercial router that stands up like a tower computer and if you have one, it is probably a pretty expensive unit, so we must clarify and completely understand what you are talking about. You indicate that removing power and cables from the tower would disable your monitor and that makes it sound like the tower IS your computer. Does that make sense to you, it does to me.
