Hi and TY. Did all that. Firewal is on. I use a Verizon Card device so I am not near a router per se.

I was just using a notebook with the same configuration it is slow to download. I downloaded a file yesterday on one that took 40 minutes. It isn't going to give you the same speed as if your notebook was plugged into a router with a wire. You might want to check your signal strenght and see what that is and if it's weak see if you can do your downloads in an area where the signal is strong.

Is the firewall turned on your computer as well as any routers that you might be behind?

Lexmark printer p3150

This is the driver download page for your printer: http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?lxkprod=Lexmark+Photo+P3150 Unfortunately they don't have a driver listed for Vista. This is pretty common, a lot of companies are slow to develop drivers to be able to use their products with Vista.

PC wireless card

Dear Amy -

I looked up the Verizon Wireless card, and found that its a normal PCMCIA(PC Card) type adapter. This is a good thing; it means that you can purchase just about ANY laptop that has a standard PC Card slot(NOT Mini PC Card), and it should be compatible (You might, however, find compatibility issues with a Macintosh system.)

Keep in mind you will need to install the drivers for the card on any new system, and a new laptop is likely to come preloaded with Wondows Vista, so you will need a Vista compatible driver.

You can download any necessary drivers here:
http://www4.sprint.com/pcsbusiness/support/downloads/index.jsp?internalId=downloads

I hope this helps you!
