My PDV-705 Portable DVD

Hi,

Please check weather the DVD which your inserted i supported by the player.?
If someother movies plays then the problem is with the DVD which your inserted.The DVD might have not burnt in correct formatt.

It is a problem with the laser. Getting a lens cleaner could help, but it is doubtful. Your best bet, tap the unit while the disk is trying to load.

There is a motor that moves the laser into place. Often the motor burns out or it does not focus correctly after a while. Sometimes, they just get stuck. A tap may kick start the motor into place if it is stuck. Most likely, you will have to replace the unit.

P.S. Toothpaste and electronics don't mix. CD players get extremely hot. You will eventually be cleaning Crest out of your DVD player.

you can get a auto chARGER ON EBAY I JUST GOT MINE IT IS STRONG ENOUGH TO WATCH A DVD WHILE THE BATTER IS CHARGING SHIPPING AND ALL WAS 18 BUCKS

It seems obvious that you have a bad battery. You'll need to find a replacement.

have you tried a cleaning disk and make sure the movie disks have no finger prints on them that will stop it from loading.

If its broken for even there is no harm in taking a peeksie at its innards. Chances are it is the ribbon connector to the screen has come adrift

If this happens on all disk and you have cleaned with proper laser disc cleaner there are small caps that are almost naked to the eye that needs changing in power supply

Grease the slide rails with a little smudge of vaseline - especially if the mechanism is noisy. There is another reason for it that I have not worked out, but on 2 machines the grease did the trick.
