I do not know what country you are in but try ebay for your country and check prices for a 128 or 256 mb card then shop around your computer shops in your area they may have some old stock which you should get cheap

What video card is better for my board?

Hello there Mizrach#03 ...

The following advice is based on specifications detailed here:

As I'm sure you already know, you have a relatively limited (older) motherboard (MB) there. But make no mistake, there is absolutely no criticism impiled in the least. After all, if the capabilities of your MB meets your particular needs, then there's nothing "wrong" with it. And let no one tell you otherwise. No one "needs" hardware beyond their "needs".

That said, THE critical determinant is the "4x AGP" specification. In the simplest terms: Get the best "4x AGP" video card you can get for the money.

Here's a lineup of solid choices (NOT all are 4x AGP, disregard those that are not):|c:318|&Sort=4

God-speed, and please post back if you have any further questions, and/or to just let me know how everything worked out.

Looking to upgrade video. is there a limit to uprade old mboard

Only cards that work with this board are AGP 4x graphics cards or possiblly AGP 8x cards that are backwards compatible. If you buy an 8x card do your research to make sure it's backwards compatible before purchase. Newer graphics cards are pci-express x16 or pci-e 2. These will not work with your board. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.

Graphics card issue - GA-0ST800 Motherboard

Your motherboard have an AGP 4X port, you can easy upgrade whit that card since it is an APG-card. Not sure tough that your motherboard can handle all that DDR3 power witch come with the card but im sure u will notice a big improvment.
I think that a cheaper card with 512 Mb DDR2 will give u the same results.

Good luck

Upgrading VIDEO CARD

If your motherboard's graphics slot is AGP and your graphics card is AGP then it should be fine if your motherboard is PCI-E and graphics is PCI-E it also is fine make sure your motherboard and graphics are compatible.
