No, it didn't mess up the buffer, it just means that the image you are trying to scribe is too dense for the capacity of the buffer. Have you tried it again with the low density?

Hi, I don't know if I should get single or double sided ram for this mother board, and is low density ram ok? Thanks, Wayne

This mainboard uses DDR400 memory

A High Density module is by far much slower than Low Density module at the same speed rating say PC3200/DDR400. High density modules are FAR CHEAPER, less than half the price when compare with low density modules and hence high density modules will NOT work on 90% of today's PC chipsets. LOW DENSITY modules have 100% compatibility with ALL systems and ALL chipsets. HIGH DENSITY modules only have 10% compatibility and are VERY SLOW.

So AVOID those 'High-Density - 128Mx4 config 1GB modules which is usually UNBRANDED and is NO NAME!

With this in mind it is far better to use low density Ram. Most RAM cards today are double sided, it all depends on the capacity of the RAM card.

Please rate this solloution as it it much appreciated.

Thanks.

How do I activate the option to burn an 8.5GB DVD+R DL using LightScribe HP dvd1070? I am using Roxio Easy Media Creator 10.

That option would be set in Roxio, not the drive itself.

Make sure that your machine meets the requirement for speed and memory required to write DVD's at this density.

I have a PC with an ASUS P4B533-VM MoBo. I got

Hello.

According to Crucial, your MB takes either DDR PC2700, or DDR PC3200, NON-buffered, NON ECC modules. Another consideration is density. Some cheap high density modules will not work in all MB's.

Refer to:
http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=P4B533-VM

Have you tried to see if it will POST with just one module installed? Try both individual modules and see if there is any success. It may be that one is bad.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Half of my tv screen is not showing a picture

Check the connections on the buffer boards to the panel. Likely connection or bad buffer board.Change buffer board . If this does not fix then Panel is bad. Try C board connections on bottom. Be sure to disconnect power supply from sustain boards before messing with these connectors to avoid burning the flex cables.

TM-T88III print speeds and other issues

Try setting both switch 1-7 and 1-8 to ON for 38400 baud, set switch 1-2 to OFF to give a 4k buffer, set switch 2-5 to OFF to release the busy buffer at 256 bytes, set switches 2-3 and 2-4 to ON & OFF for medium print density and OFF & ON for dark print density or OFF & OFF for normal print density.

Also remember that the thermal TM-T88III also prints faster when the print head is cooler and slower when it heats up. The print speed is adjusted automatically depending on the voltage applied and head temperature. So make sure your power supply is providing a steady 24VDC at full load and has enough capacity to provide a peak of 7.7A in full speed mode. If you are using the printer in high temp and humidity you might want to swap the unit out for a Star Printer which performs faster and uses the same protocol or use a cooling fan.

Also make sure you use a good quality paper and that the humidity is within range at 10 – 90% RH although the paper performance will be greatly diminished at higher humidity levels.

Specifications:

High-speed = Approx. 150 mm/s {5.9"/s} max.; 47.2 lps, max. (3.18 mm {1/8"} feed);
35.5 lps, max. (4.23 mm {1/6"} feed, at 24 V, 28°C {82°F}, density level 1).

Low-power: Approx. 16.5 lps (4.23 mm feed {1/6"}); 70 mm/s {2.76"/s}
Ladder bar code: Approx. 42 mm/s {approx. 1.7"/s}

High-speed mode: Mean: Approx. 1.8A Peak: Approximately 7.7A @24VDC
Low-power mode: Mean: Approx. 1.2A Peak: Approximately 6.6A @ 24VDC

Operating temp = 5 to 45°C {41 to 113°F}
Operating Humidity = 10% - 90% RH

Lightscribe problem.

Dear JustinMule,

If your lightscribe won't finish making the label, check the label quality and make sure it's on the basic setup (there is a high density option). See if that helps, if not you may have a buffering problem with the burner.

Good luck!

low density works alot more often then high density, HD is just cheaper and thats mostly why it't not compatible with as many boards.
Good luck,

you must try reseating the memory as the beep code suggest that the memory are not there or not plugged in properly.

check if you are using the right memory card. If not u need to change them.
