On some saws this knob has to be pulled and turned through 90 degrees while pulled out.

Testimonial: "thankyou for getting back, have to push whole saw down and then pull yellow knob, saw is then released. GREAT."

Dewalt 703 mitre saw

Lorraine - Next to the knob, is there may be a spring that you can pull back towards the knob. If so, after you loosen the knob, pull the spring back toward the knob and hold it while turning the base. If that does not do it, blow some compressed air between the two surfaces and then spray some WD 40 into that gap to lubricate the area.

Need to know how to change the agle on the blade for a protech 10 in table saw

Hi Ron,

You didn't give your model.

Protech is out of business so I could not find a user's guide for you.

The knob on the front that you use to raise and lower the blade also adjusts the angle. Depending on your saw, normally the knob releases from raise/lower mode to angle adjustment by either pulling the knob out and moving it or by pushing a lever to release it and then moving the knob.

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,

Handie Andie

The blade is stuck in my Dewalt DW304 recip saw. Blade release won't work.

The chuck may just be sticking. Remove the front housing with the large screw, tap the chuck with a hammer & pin, and lube.

I've never used a miter saw of any kind and I'm having troble unlocking the hinge on model ms250

A Manufacturer or a picture whould make this easier.

Generally look near the hinge point. There should be a knob
or lever that generally gets pulled out to release and put in to lock the saw for storage.

How do i fold up then unfold the proform xp 620?

Before folding the treadmill, adjust the incline to the lowest position. If you do not do this, you may damage the treadmill when you fold it. Remove the key and unplug the power cord. CAUTION: You must be able to safely lift 45 lbs. (20 kg) to raise, lower, or move the treadmill.
Hold the metal frame firmly in the location shown by the arrow at the right. CAUTION: To decrease the possibility of injury, do not lift the frame by the plastic foot rails. Make sure to bend your legs and keep your back straight as you raise the frame. Raise the frame about halfway to the vertical position.
Raise the frame until the latch knob locks into the storage position. Make sure that the latch knob is locked in the storage position. To protect the floor or carpet from damage, place a mat under the treadmill. Keep the treadmill out of direct sunlight. Do not leave the treadmill in the storage position in temperatures above 85° F (30° C).
To lower follow this procedure:
Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your right hand. Pull the latch knob to the left and hold it. It may be necessary to push the frame forward as you pull the knob to the left. Pivot the frame downward and release the latch knob.
Hold the metal frame firmly with both hands and lower it to the floor. CAUTION: Do not grip only the plastic foot rails or drop the frame to the floor. Bend your legs and keep your back straight.

It starts and runs but when you turn it off it won't restart.

I think the warm start procedure in the manual is causing it to flood. Try it like this, if you continue having problems reply below and we will try something else. PLEASE read #3 (Cold and Warm) a few times before attempting to start. Try it without 1/2 choke (your manual); completely open.
Start Procedure
Cold:
  1. Ignition on/off to on.
  2. Set compression release – optional step even if saw is equipped with a compression release.
  3. Pull (close) choke, set fast idle (done when choke closed on some saws); pull starter and listen for an attempt to start. once heard (usually two pulls; no more than 4).
  4. Set compression release – optional step even if saw is equipped with a compression release.
  5. Push (open) choke pull starter until it starts. (usually first pull).
Warm:
  1. Ignition on/off to on.
  2. Set compression release – optional step even if saw is equipped with a compression release.
  3. Pull (close) choke, set fast idle (done when choke closed on some saws) – Do not pull with choke closed or at 1/2 choke position.
  4. Push (open) choke, pull starter until it starts. (usually first pull).
Hope this helps.
