Hey, sounds like you may have a damaged operating system (I assume you have Window XP or later). Just re-install Windows with the disc or recovery option (if you have Windows installed on your motherboard) and select the recovery console, so you don't lose your data. If this is a problem with your bios or actual PC, you may want to contact the Gateway Technical Support at support.gateway.com or 1-800-846-2000.

Thank You

Power outage now my e machines el 1200 01h won't boot saying no boot file name revevied?

Try to enter your boot screen, usually by pressing F8 when booting up. Then go to your boot priority list and make sure it is booting from your hard drive. I'm not a fan of e machines, it is very possible that the power surge caused some memory or physical errors.

Computer wont boot all the way up

There are several reason why a computer won't boot up. First you need to figure out if your Power Supply is working, if your not a computer expert, you can try another PSU to test. Or you can use a PSU tester to test if your PSU is still working. If not, clean and reseat your RAM, if you have 2 RAMs, remove each RAM then try 1 RAM at a time, and try to seat the RAM to different slot. If not luck, clean and reseat your graphics card. If you have a built-in video port, remove your graphics card. Still won't boot? try resetting the CMOS. This might fix the problem.

PCV R44G, won't boot, no fans, won' turn on.

Remove the Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set itaside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting.

Compaq presario 56000cl won't boot up / red light flashing in the back.

When you press the power button do you hear the fan running, hear the disk drive running, see any lights, do you hear the cd drive click once and see the light come on briefly on the cd drive door? If you see all the aforementioned then it is surely trying to boot. Computers don't boot mainly because of the following problems. 1) Bad Power Cord or Power Supply. 2) Electro Static Buildup. 3) Bad Motherboard 4) Bad boot or system files.
Remove the Power Cord and the battery if it's a laptop. Press and Hold the Power Button for 30 Seconds. Then replace only the Power Cord and try hitting the Power Button. If it boots you had an Electro Static Buildup. If you have boot or system files that are missing or corrupt normally the system will be telling you that on an error message that appears on the screen. Does your system show you anything on the screen when you press the Power Button? If not you have a Power Supply or Motherboard issue.

My PC power supply crashed, burnt resistors, Powerman IW-P250A3-1 20 pin plug to motherboard, bought new power source, but the old power source had a white cable to the 20 pin plug which was -5vdc 0.3amp....

Hello,
For your system to boot up properly, you need an identical power supply for your system. Most likely the reason why your system won't boot up right now is because you purchased a different power supply and it is lacking something(which is the other pin).
