Make sure all objects are clear of the door, usually moisture happens through an air breach. next, see if the drain line is clogged with debris, clear any obtructions.

Chemical cleaner taste in water and ice from fridge door.

Run it as normal and keep flushing the water through. Place lemon wedges around the inside for the next week. If the problem persists you can buy a proprietory air conditioning system cleaner for cars that disperses inside the unit (make sure no food is left in while using) follow makers instructions. Clean with low pressure hot water spray before using again.

I have a GE Profile model # TPX2451YEBS side by side fridge. Both sides are not cold on upper part. The food in fridge on top 2 shelves and door shelves is just cool. The frozen food in door...

Sorry to hear about your problem.

Sounds like you have a defrost issue. Hence your unit is not defrosting. All of this apply's if your freezer side has ice . If not. you have other issues, this does sound funny, but this is why your refrigerator side is warm, or not cooling.

Here is a list of some things that can go wrong.
1. Defective heat coil
2. Defective defrost timer
3. Defective defrost sensor
4. Defective Fan
5. Defective compartment inlet damper (on some models)

You should call a service company to resolve your issue.

Since I tried to help you, Please help me and Rate/Vote on the response. Thanks

if unit is a whirlpool, a kit is required to alleviate issue..you can turn fridge off and defrost it for 24 -hrs w/doors open...that should eliminate frozen drain problem

Water dripping onto back of shelves and into drawers and bottom of "designer style" frig

There is a tube at the back of most fridges which routes freezer water to a evaporator tray at the bottom.

Usually in the fridge at the top just below the freezer is a small collection cup. If that cup or tube is blocked then it will drip water into your fridge.

Let me know if that helps.

Fridge has water pooling on the shelves and under the drawers.

check the door is sealing properly, use a note book page and close the door on it , then see if you have got some resistance when you pull it out. Do this on all `sides `. Is the drain blocked ? Are all high moisture content foods covered. Are you in a tropical area ? This can also make a differance.
