CAN I CHANGE MY OWN SPARK PLUG WIRING ON A P7 GRAND AM RATHER SIMPLY?sPARK PLUG WERE CHANGED ALREADY ABOUT A MONTH AGE AND I DIDN'T GET THE WIRES CHANGED.

If the coil packs are factory they will have the firing order marked on them and the intake should have your cylender number on it start with 1 pull the wire off the plug take the wire out of the plug wire harness take off the coil and replace. Do the following to the next five you might have to take off some of the plastics to get to them. If you have not did this very much it can be nerve racking use some diode grease when putting back together it keeps the contacts free of corosion and makes it easier to pull off for replacement in the future.thanks

Yes you can, just make sure you put the wiring in the correct order, the best way to do this is change one wire at a time.

I would perform a compression test on all cylinders if you've already changed your plugs and wires. This willtell u if u have ay mechanical problems with the engine. Also even tho you've changed your spark plugs and wires did you check your injectors or coil packs to ensure they're good. A problem with either will also cause misfires.

yah direct ignition coil pack does away for the need a a distributer cap and rotor.much higher energy ignition system where the computer tell when to fire.if that helps.not hard to change.as long as you change them one at a time so you don't screw up the order.
