How to connect it - Video Game Consoles & Games

Well, you don't give much to go on...

Assuming you have a newer system, it should come with a video cable of some sort and a power cable of some sort. On every console I know of, they both have easy-to-find ports on the back to plug in to. The power cable goes into the wall socket and the video cable goes to your tv. Nowadays, video game systems have either AV cables (red, yellow, and white) or component cables (red, blue, and green) that ship with them. Old systems like the NES may come with an old RF connection (the one that is reminiscent of a cable connection--witht the screw thing on the end). Old tvs may not have AV inputs for the RYW or RGB connections. These will require an RF converter.

Any recent tvs have RYW inputs. They are generally on the back, or on flat tvs on the side, and they are usually color coded to match the type of wires that go into them. Mono tvs have only a white (sound) and a yellow (video). Stereo tvs have a red (right sound) in addition to these. High-def tvs have component inputs as well for higher quality. If you have an xbox 360, find the RGB cables and then find the color coded component inputs on your tv. Then also plug in the red and white sound jacks. make sure your xbox cable is switched to the component setting. This is a little switch that is on the connector where the cable meets the xbox.

This is the gemeral way to hook up a video game system, Anything else will require more details.

Q. How can I get internet access on my psp? I've been trying to get a connection on my psp for 19 days, can you help?

1.

Navigate to your PSP's Main Menu. Choose "Settings" and then choose "Network Settings."

2.

Choose "Infrastructure Mode" and then choose "New Connection." Enter a connection name for future reference, and press "X."

3.

Choose "Scan" under WLAN Settings, and then choose the connection you'd like to try and connect to. The scanning will find wireless connections that are available in the area.

4.

Enter the WEP key for your chosen wireless connection if it is secure. If it is not secure, it doesn't need a WEP key and you can connect to it directly.

5.

Press "X" to save the connection set up, and then select "Test Connection" to make sure the connection is reliable. You will know it is successful if it says "Succeeded" next to the Internet Connection properties. If it has failed, try again with another connection or a different WEP key.

Hi there!
There are two ways to connect your Wii to the internet; you can connect to your wireless network (if you have a wireless modem set up in your house), or you can connect using a wired connection directly to your modem.
If using a wired connection, you will need to purchase a Wii LAN adapter and connect that from your WII into your wired router.
danam106.png

Once you have figured out what connection type you will use (and if using a wired connection, purchased and connected your Wii LAN adapter) you will need to take the following steps:
FOR WIRELESS CONNECTION:
  • Turn on your Wii and click on the "Wii" button on the bottom left of the screen
  • Click on "Wii Settings"
  • Click on the arrow on the right side of the screen and select "Internet"
  • Select "Connection 1 : none" (if you don't see "None" in Connection 1, click the Connection 1 button, then choose "Clear Settings")
  • Click on "Wireless Connection" and then "Search for an Access Point"
  • Select "OK" and the Wii will display all the wireless networks it finds.
  • Select the wireless network that is yours.
  • If it asks you to enter a password or key, then your wireless connection is password protected and you will need to enter the password that was setup to allow access to your network.
  • Select "OK," "Save Settings," and then "Yes."
  • Your Wii will test the connection and you should get a message saying connection was successful.
FOR WIRED CONNECTIONS:
  • Connect your Wii to the Wii LAN adapter and connect that to your modem or broadband adapter. Please not that you will need to unplug your modem for a few minutes to reset the connection and you will also need to unplug the connection to your computer when you want to connect your Wii to the internet.
  • Turn on your Wii and select the Wii icon on the bottom left
  • Click on "Wii Settings"
  • Click the arrow on the right side of the screen and select "Internet"
  • Click "Connection Settings"
  • Click "Connection 1 : none" (if you don't see "None" in Connection 1, click the Connection 1 button, then choose "Clear Settings")
  • Click "Wired Connection"
  • Click "Ok"
  • Your Wii will now do a connection test
  • You should see a message saying the test was successful
Hope this helps!

Can i connect to xbox live using vodafone mobile broardband usb stick

hi there,
you can't connect the usb stick to the xbox directly, but you can connect your xbox to your pc/laptop with the broadband usb stick in your pc/laptop and share the connection. while this will work, it's not going to be very fast and if you intend to play games online there will be a big lag. But it's better than nothing if that is all you have for internet connection. Anyway here's how. connect your laptop to your xbox using an ethernet cable, and have your usb dongle in your pc/laptop connected to the internet.
now depending on what os(operating system) you have on your computer, navigate to control panel>network and sharing>manage network connections.
once in here you want to enable sharing on your connection and tick the box allow other users to connect through this computers connection. then you want to select local area connection on the home network connection menu.
now you can test your xbox live connection to see if it connects to the internet, if it does happy gaming :)
If it fails, try making your connection to a public rather than private connection. If this method fails, try restarting your pc/laptop and then your xbox and go through the process again.
I know this can be tricky and alot of trial and error, but if this is all you have to connect to the internet and you really want to get online then it will be worth the effort. Hope this helps.
