The CMZ984 takes 6 volts DC at about 850 ma or 0.85 Amp. The problem is finding a plug that will attach to the Coleman charging port. Use the Radio Shack universal DC power supply. This is a little unit that comes with an assortment of plugs and has a number of switches on the Radio Shack DC power supply. (1)-Find a plug inside of the Universal DC power supply that fits without forcing, (2)-set the voltage to 6 volts and (3)-the polarity to "+". When the universal power supply is plugged into the bug zapper and the universal DC power supply set at 6 volts, turn on the BUG ZAPPER. If the lights inside turns on when the battery is dead then you probably have all switches set correctly. At yard sales, this UNIVERSAL power supply sells for about $1. It comes with a number of different plugs. Don't forget to write the voltage and polarity on the bottom of the bug zapper for the next time.

Had the same problem...was lucky enough to find my charger. Model No. HY-05-6, made in China. 6V 830mA - doesn't say if it's pos-center or neg-center. Searched the web and the best I could come up with was a company in Australia - Their page loads as a pdf file, but their email address is located at the bottom of the page. If I recall correctly (and my recollection is a little hazy after the 1960's), you may be able to fudge a little on the mA's without frying the circuit -- I'd check w/ Radio Shack and see what they have to say. Good luck!

What is the correct size orifice needed to burn LP gas in a Coleman DGU08012UB

The orifice will have LP stamped on it. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding them. Some stoves have them in a bracket near the pressure regulator or under the top cover of the stove top.

I need to know where i can get a drain screw for a float/filter system for a coleman generator. the engine is a suburu. also i think i need the washer seal with the screw. i live in uniondale ny nassau...

getting screws from anywhere is not that easy, but it is possible to get, just want to give some advice, if you can contact the company or person you bought the generator from, it will much easier for you to get the part faster.

Get in contact with them and ask if they can help you get setting screw you are looking for. am sure that will help out.

Better still, you can contact the company that made the generator you are using, if they are in your country so that they can be able to deliver to you or tell you their near branch to get it from.

You can also check from this sites for more info.

and this,

i know it will help you out.

Take care.

Coleman Peak 1 Model 400 stove We have had this stove for 20 years at least. The last couple years a problem has begun and has gotten worse. The stove will leak liquid fuel all over the base which then...

I have heard two things that could improve your stove. I had the same "bursting into flame" issue last weekend while camping. First, move the black handle back and forth a few times. That is supposed to clean the jet. Second, take the generator off and hit it with a blowtorch. That should clean out the deposites on the inside. Or you can purchase new generators (just make sure you get the correct one).

I have an old WWII Coleman (1943) single burner field stove that I would like to take apart, clean up, and fire it up! Are there any instructions out there to do this? Thanks, Dan.

None that are any different to cleaning a new stove.Use pipe cleaners and a oven cleaner for best results, you may use a wire brush and naval jelly if rust is there. Please Rate This !!

Coleman stove, model 412-5621, will not pressurize the fuel tank. The pump appears to need some replacement part or parts. What should I do?

disassemble the pump by removing the c-shaped ring aroudn the metal cap. a flathead screwdriver will work to pry off the ring.

pull out the pump assembly. The end is probably a old dried out leather ring. It needs oil (car motor oil shoudl be fine) and it needs to make a tight seal.

if it is too loose, it might be possible to press it out to make it wider. If not, it needs to be replaced. The pump assembly is about 8 dollars at many stores.
