APEX Model # GT2015DV. Stopped turning on. Went away for the weekend, and when I came back the TV wouldn't turn on anymore. I tried different outlets but no luck. Any ideas as to what could be wrong or how to fix it?

OK it may only be a fuse... he said hopefully :) .. these sets have a switched mode power supply... it has a Mains fuse... check this... otherwise I would bet that the SMPSU has failed.. a common cause.. if ya a dab hand at this sorta thing then get a new PSU and swap 'em out.. otherwise find a reputable serviceman obtain a "Quote" and proceede from there.

Remember IF ya choose to work on this set yourself be carefull and use an Isolation Transformer at all times. GL

Apex DVD/Tv combo GT2015DV won't play dvd's

Something is wrong..crbr799 your DVD-TV has a TV-DVD button on the right front to switch from TV to DVD play...OPEN button on left side ,place DVD in tray, close & press PLAY...
I something simulator that needs the remote control for the SPECIAL functions....by the way the ORIGINAL r\c is $135 to $155, a replacement ($35) will turn the TV\DVD on ( which you can do without the r\c) and NOT function with anything else.
P.S. they will try to sell you universal r\c that work with the CABLE boxes, the ones that you pay a monthly fee!!

Apex Digital GT2015 just died!

This may denote a problem with the switching power supply or the horizontal output section of the TV which supplies the High Voltage to the CRT and other parts of the TV. These voltages can kill so I would advise that you take the set to the shop for repairs.

Image goes off

This is a sign that either the video drives to the CRT are not working or the anode voltage of the CRT has deminished. The vidoe drives dropping would be a problem in the video output section of the TV, and the anode voltage would be a sign of a problem in the High voltage output section of the TV. If you do not have a background in electronics I would suggest that you take the set to a shop for repairs.

My apex tv fell forward of a desk about 2 feet high

You may have cracked the circuit board. and or damaged a few components in the power supply section or the high voltage section. If you do not have a background in electronics I would suggest you take this unit to the shop for an estimate and or repair.
