Help, cpu over heating ,fan and heat sink have been cleand.

The only thing that you did not mention was fresh conductive thermal grease compound, did you take the heat sink off the processor ic and remove the old thermal compound? if you have not done this you will need to complete the repairs and apply fresh conductive thermal compound this will dissipate up to 50% of the heat and should solve your problem. If this fails you need to make sure the processor cooling fan is running properly, or the processor ic may need to be changed because of thermal runner way.

With a cloth but make sure none of it gets on the other circuits because it could fry them just clean it right off and apply new thermal compound .....theres also clips on the side of the heat sink push them down and out

Gateway 7405 battery and charge problems

This sounds like a problem with the charging circuit on the board.
There could be a problem with the power jack:
They are available but will require disassembly and probably some soldering to replace.
It might be best to try another MB if you can find one cheap. Like this:

K8S-LA mobo heat sink fell off.

That is the 'Northbridge' chip that provides the I/O interfacing for the main chip. The heat sink is normally held on with glue as you surmised, and should be re-done with a thermal conductive glue. The glue (a silver filled epoxy) is available from MCM electronics or from Mouser. Be sure to thoroughly clean the chip and heat sink before re-gluing.

Gateway 7405 GX Fully shuts down at random intervals

It sounds like a thermal shut down when the processor over heats, one thing it might be is that the heat sink is not seated properly on the processor. When removing the heat sink make sure you have thermal paste to place between the processor and heat sink. That should give you a good starting point.
