I have a Pixma 830. I started printing a single page, single-sided document from the top feeder. The printer started doing a double-sided printing. To save time, I hit "stop reset." Apparently, that was the wrong thing to do. The "alarm" button went on, and I got error message 6A00, which I understand probably means there is a paper jam. That's understandable because the printed paper did not come out, but I don't see where it is so I cannot clear the jam. Any ideas where I should be looking?

This model printer does not have a duplex unit and cannot print double sided documents automatically. DOUBLE SIDED PRINTING USING A SINGLE SIDED PRINTER If your printer does not have a duplex unit then the printercannot print double sided pages automatically. You can print double sided pages but you have to do it one page at a time. First print Page 1 then place the page back into the paper tray, but turn thepage upside down and the print Page 2. Then print page 3 on one side then page 4 on the other side and repeat for therest of the document. I suggest you try a test page first, to get the printing the right way up onboth sides of the page so it reads correctly.
The use of the top paper feeder is the capability to make single or multiple photocopies and for single scanning or multiple scanning. All you have to do is to put single or multiple document in the top feeder and press the COPY BUTTON (third button-right side). Then it will feeds automatically.
The same with scanning, press the SCAN BUTTON (first button-left side) and it will scan single or multiple document.

I am going to assume you have a document feeder (ADF) on the copier.
Insert originals into document feeder and press the 1-1 simplex button on the LCD screen. If have single page documents that you want to turn into double sided documents then select 1 - 2 button. If you have double sided originals already and want to make double sided copies then select 2 - 2 button. Then hit the green copy start key...done.
If you copier has a booklet setting on it in the duplex. Page the front and back of the drivers license will appear on the same side of the page as well.
