You need an aerator wrench, Pfister part number 941-031. Several vendors on the web carry this part.

If you look closely at part 25a, you will find two flat spots on each side of the ring. Clamp those flat areas with vice grips and turn.

I appreciate the page - I actually have that same page. The problem is that I can't figure out out to unscrew the housing. When I unscrew the head and look at the bottom, I cannot figure out how to unscrew it. I have tried with tweezers, and it's not working. That's where I get stuck. I'm sure the aerator is full of debris that I need to clean out.

Please look at the pic below. And please rerate.

This is a big help!!! Do you know what kind of tool I can use to unscrew it - it doesn't screw out easily - or truly at all. I have tried tweezers. Is there a special tool?

  • Anonymous Feb 27, 2011

Sorry I do not know of a special tool to remove it. What it sounds like is that it is welded on with lime and calicum. I would soak in CLR for a few hrs to see if it will loosen up where you can unscrew.

How do you remove the aerator housing from the Price Pfister hanover double handle bathroom sink faucet

most aerators are screwed into the faucet

IF you use a pair of multigrips with clothe folded in the jaws , you can apply gentle pressure and turn it out

too much pressure and you will distort the aerator so be gentle with it

Water shoots out of my faucet, now can I plug it?

water is supposed to come out of your faucet...in a controlled fashion....if its at the handle....remove the handle and locate the source....tighten the packing gland or replace a seal. if it sprays all crazy at the spout...try unscrewing the little piece on the tip of the spout (aerator)....flush your faucet by running the water with it off...then flush out the screen on the aerator and re-attach it...hope I was some help....good luck and always know where and how to turn your house water supply off before working on any pressure points on your water supply system.

We just installed the Price Pfister Hanover Single Handle faucet in our kitchen. (Series T529). We find that it doesn't have the same pressure as our previous faucet. Is there a reason for this? We have...

Hey,
We have the same problem. Just called Price Pfister with the same question, and she offered to courier replacement parts free of charge. She was much too accomodating. My suspicion is that she gets this question quite regularly. Love to know if anyone has solved this problem as we like the look of the faucet.

I installed Series 26 Avalon faucet. The water flow rate is very slow. All fittings to the faucet are new. Could the problem be a faulty valve ?

Remove and clean the Price Pfister aerator. Turn the water on after you remove the aerator and check the flow-rate. Many new Lavatory and kitchen faucets are now equipped with Eco friendly water saver aerators. if the flow is normal without the aerator, the faucet is OK. if you want more water flow from your lavatory faucet, you will need to buy one of the old style high flow aerators from your hardware store. If you remove the aerator and still get low pressure from both hot and cold faucets, you may need to replace the faucet. Call the Price Pfister warranty phone number that came with your faucet.

Water runs slow

Three possible reasons for low pressure. 1. faucet cartridge has debris in valve body. 2. aerator has debris ,just unscrew and clean out. 3. Water valves under sink are not opened up. hope this helps
