I have the heavy gear . i've changed my joystick, but the game doesn, recognize the new one

The M51 could have the motor clutch levers in the free wheel/push mode and the joystick will not blink if this is the case. Make sure that the chair cannot be pushed. If it can be pushed it means it is in free wheel and you need to lock the motors in gear.

If it is in gear and the joysticks green light does not change color or blink it could be that the joystick is bad. When nothing happens and the lights don't blink when you push the joystick knob the chairs controller basically isn't recognizing the joystick movement.
Time to have the joystick repaired or more. Have a technician look at it.

click on the joystick and then click on the properties tab
check and adjust compatibility
tick the box and move down the list to win 7 and click that ---apply and ok
it sound slike a compatibility fault or a missing driver for the joystick

Check the settings of joystick in game controller and god of war 2 setting (in game). check them this solution is for joystick not working on in a particular game.

Unfortunately this is a PC oriented device so there is no Max support. If you look at your hardware under joystick or human input devices it should recognize the joystick. Run the calibration from there. Check to see if all the buttons are recognized. You could contact logitech support and ask if they have a max specific manual of faq hidden away somewhere.

Make sure you get the latest drivers for your soundcard. The drivers will include the software for the joystick port so its recognized properly by windows. Also you may want to go to the support page for your soundcard to see if any settings would need to be changed as well.

you dont get any responds or recognition from windows other then in the deivce manager. it is working on the older joystick system so only the game has the capability of recognizing and making the button assignment if it supports joystick drivers.

If it doesnt work, then try the controller. If the controller works, then just use that. Sometimes the system does not recognize the joystick.

You do. I had absolutly no problem with it when i jad windows.

It does not work with vista at least not for me. And besides with XP and Vista you shouldn't have to install it anyway as both OS's have a feature called plug and play which means that when you plug it in via a USB port Windows Xp automatically recognize it and its driver. Thats one thing about XP thats so great XP just about recognizes every joystick and game pad driver there is without installing the pads software.
