Question about Xerox Phaser 7400DN Laser Printer
On the leading edge (letter size, SEF) I have about a 2 inch light stripe the full 10+ inches of printable area of the "Solid Fill Pages". This is only showing on the purple, blue, red, pink and green solid fill sheets. The black and yellow sheets appear normal. Also, the "Color Test Pages" appear just fine (CMYK, 20% fill). There is also some mottling and incomplete toner coverage in just the "Solid Fill Pages" that have cyan in them. (Blue, Purple, Green).
The imaging units were recently replaced (all 4) and do not appear to be the problem. I have also cleaned the high-voltage contacts on the imaging units, but the problem persists...
Any ideas? Are we looking at replacing the Cyan LED scanner? or all 4 perhaps??
The led's are interchangeable. I did this. Also the photoreceptors. In fact all UI are intercengeable, but U can`t do this becouse of toner chips. U can try to change the chips; I didn`t try...

I cant remember if the led's are interchangeable or not.. if they are, mark up one of them and swap positions, noting any change of appearence, you should be able to use this method to see if one is faulty, its doubtful all 4 are gone, but think u are barking up the right tree! other possibility is that there is a charging issue with the drums...could be a psu issue, hope this is of help to you, Markus.

Tips for a great answer:
Jun 30, 2011 | Canon PIXMA MP240 All-In-One InkJet...
start a print from tray 1/manual feed and just as the trailing edge of paper is entering the machine; quickly open it to stop print and take out the cartridge and look at it's drum and the paper underneath. If the issue is there at that point then it would point to loose toner residue underneath the cartridge. if not then the fuser area has to be cleaned. Wipe the area clean with a lint free cloth, do not use compressed air.....
