Where are fuses located in RCA model SLD65A55RQ LED TV?

Fuse [Main] can be located at its power supply regulator [SMPS] board. There is a fuse at its T'Con board too.
If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

How many amps is the fuse that is located on the back of the TV near the power cord. It says T5AL/125 or 250 v. f800

Something else is going on to cause the fuse to keep blowing. Sounds like you have an issue on your power supply in the unit. Also check the outlet that your plugging it in to. Good luck!

Where are the pico fuses located so I can check them? I have a hitachi 57f500

Pico is a term for 'Very Small' . Fuses on PC boards are identified by 'F' letters. As an example 'F1' .
Why do yo beleive your issue is with a fuse.
Not even sure what your TV is.
Listed in the main heading is Sony KP-51HW40 and then you stated in your problem explanation that its a Hitachi 57f500.

How do I replace the FL231 fuse on the circuit board, removal and re-soldering I was told this will fix the convergence issue and that the convergence module is not bad.

Yes, but before powering the set back on you must fix the original issue that caused it to open. The high voltage transformer location LL008 will need to be un-soldered and all pins and pads cleaned. Then re solder the pins to the pads with solder. The original solder was lead free but it tended to crack after it heated up thus causing the intermittent connection and then opening the 400ma fuse to the convergence panel. The fuse is no longer available, but I have included a link to be able to purchase it on ebay. Make sure you ONLY use the size fuse needed as anything higher could be a fire hazard. Please take a moment to rate my answer. Thanks...

Will not turn on, I removed rear cover and checked on board fuse it was OK

Ok, I know this set very well. There is one very common problem with it.

You need to locate 2 different parts---one is a fuse(does not look like a fuse---orange and almost dead center in the set---it will have a location number under it printed on the circuit board---location is E994 and it is a 2 amp pico fuse---you can check it just like any other fuse (it is soldered in).

With the set unplugged, if you check it and find it is open (bad) there is another part about 4 inches to the right of it you need to look at---

The problem this model has is a cap in the High voltage circuit goes bad---most of the time it will have a crack in its case or be burnt---Its location is to the right of the fuse and is C707-----it is near a transistor with location number Q777----there are a row of fairly large brown caps there with what looks like hot glue across the top of them--this cap is in front of the one closest to the front of the row of caps and it is so small you have a hard time seeing it---It is blue in color.

If you find the fuse open and or the cap damaged you need to replace both parts (less than 10 dollars)

If you find this is the case--let me know and I can give you part number/description for the cap---any 2 amp pico type fuse can be used to replace it.

You will have to unbolt the entire chassis and tilt it up so the bottom of the boards face the back of the set--each part only has 2 leads that need to be unsoldered and then resoldered when you replace the parts----if this is your problem--cheap fix and less than 20 minutes to do it. I have seen so many of these sets with this problem I carry the caps with me whenever I go on a house call.

Let me know what you find and if you need the part number description for the cap I can give it to you.

Regards, SD TECH

My zenith big screen tv won't come on model pvr5263dt

Thanks for using FixYa. This might have happened due to over-voltage. Please check the power supply unit for swollen capacitors and burnt wires/components on the power supply board of your TV. You should try and turn off the TV for 8-10 hours to reset it. This issue might have occurred due to blown pico fuses located on the D-Board or due to blown fuse on the power supply board.

Please do rate the solution & revert for further assistance.

Hello mtf420ak,

I do not believe this is a problem with a fuse since by your experiment both fuses are good. Now put the fuse back in and if there is still no picture and no sound we can assume that the problem might be some other component on the power supply board, and or the High voltage section because this sounds like a shutdown circuit problem. If it is a shut down circuit problem the section that might be malfunctioning would be the High voltage section of the TV. I would suggest that you let a qualified TV technician troubleshoot and repair this television. I say this because this is not a simple problem, this is an issue that requires a knowledge of electronics and TV repair.

I hope this helps

ok....i know what is wrong with your set.. it is a small (very small micro fuse. rca has issued bulliten to service centers on the problem.. getting the fuse and describing where it is then soldering might be the difficult problem here.. but let me give it a try. it is located on the main signal board in a shelded covered board called the main signal board. The fuse, 1C33,is located approximately 2 inches behing the tuner The surface mounted part has various markings on
the original part from “105” to “F”
and is located below the board marking “7C32'
Replacement fuse #275819 can be placed directly over the top and soldered to the ends of the existing fuse
to lessen the chances of damaging the board traces.
all that being said.. this is some trick soldering.. and unless your a tech i would not recomend such a repair.. i cant speak for all shops but such a repair is not that difficult for most techs and cost about 125 to 200. So good luck and let me know how it go's or if i can give any more detailed info

If you have a convergence problem, it is most likely that the two convergence IC's mounted on the large heat sinks will have to be replaced. There are three colours - red, blue and green, but only two IC's. This is because one IC controls the blue and half the green, while the other controls the red and the other half of the green. Hence, I recommend replacing both at the same time. I think their model numbers are STK395-110/120.
Also,it could be that the 4-6 resistors around the IC's will have to be replaced as well.
I suggest you get it replaced professionally.
Hope that helps!
