The problem is the protective plastic cover, its half broken and the keys especially the home key is being pressed by part of the broken plastic cover. I replaced it with a new one and I can see the keyboard already. I can go to the internet now.

How can I connect my wii to the internet through mifi from at&t?

I had some trouble with this one myself, it was the encryption I added to the wireless. Wii didn't want to see the password as it was spelled, but the hex translation of it. This can be found in your router settings, which can usually be accessed through your browser. But I don't use mifi, so things could be different.

The Nintendo Customer Service has some things to try, this is what I found on google:

Don't know how to find your router's password or key?
Look for a sticker on the bottom of your router. Many routers provided by Internet service providers have their default password located on a sticker on the bottom of the router.

How do I set up the Wii to the internet?I keep getting error code 51031

Hi.

That error code is usually linked to your Wii's MAC address not being added to the MAC accepted list on your router.

To do this it depends on what router you have, but for most, you can have a direct link from your computer to your router.
Open a internet browser and go to (192.168.0.1)
On most routers this will be its set up page, you have to go to the wireless page and add your Wii's MAC # in there.

Your Wii's MAC address is located in the 'Console information' Wii page

You should just do this after your done....

1) Power on your Wii, go to the settings menu (by clicking the little Wii button in the channel menu)
2) Scroll over to 'internet settings'
3) Select 'connections', and pick 1, 2, or 3
4) In there select 'search for wireless access point'
5) Pick your router, enter your key (password) for your router if you have one.
6) Test the connection

Regards.

Hi. My wifi internet connection requires online password verification, So i have to open web browser and provide userid and login to start using internet. But my Ps3 browser is not showing the pop up...

The PS3 browser doesn't work so well with that kind of stuff. You generally do all the authentication during the setup with your wirless router.
Try changing your password, using a different brand of routers, or simply change your security type like TSPK-WEP, or plain TSPK

Hi, I'm having trouble connecting onto the internet using my wireless dlink router. I follow all the steps but when it goes to test the connection I succeeded in getting the IP address but then fail all...

When resetting the router you need to make sure you are not just unplugging it but that you are actually pressing in the reset button on the back of the router, you have to use the head of a pen to do it. Otherwise you will have to do a system restore. Your NAT TYPE should be 2.

Okay I enter my wifi password and stuff and when it is trying to connect it says.. Unable to connect to the Internet. Choose Internet setting and then confirm your connection. How do I do that?

Hi laurennajar,

If you want to connect you Wii to the internet wirelessly first we need to know the settings of your router. Listed below are the steps on how to access your router. You need a working computer connected to the router to access it follwed by the steps on how to connect our Wii.

How to access the Router:

1. You need to know the ipaddress of your router. You can refer to the manual or check the Default Gateway of your computer (Make sure that you connect the computer to the router using an ethernet cable for you to get the Default Gateway). Click on START then RUN. Type CMD on the small box on the lower left of the screen. Type IPCONFIG on the black window and get the value of your DEFAULT GATEWAY (it starts with 192.168.x.x)

2. Open a Browser, Type the DEFAULT GATEWAY on the address bar of your Browser. It will ask you for a username and password. (Refer to the manual of your router or post a reply so that i can provide you the username and password of your router)

3. Go to the Wireless Settings Page of your router. Look for the SSID or the Network Name and the Network Key or Passphrase. You can personalize it so that you can easily remeber the details.

4. Make sure you connect to your SSID and enter the Network Key to make it secure.

Now that we have the information needed lets connect your Wii to the internet.

1. Select Wii Settings
2. Then Internet Connection Settings
3. Search for an AP or SSID
4. Input Security Key or Network Key
5. Test the Connection.

Thanks for using Fixya

Cant connect to wireless network on my ps3

Hello,
First off you have a wireless router hooked up to your ISP correct.
anually set a static IP for your wireless connection (When going through the network setup in Network Settings --> Internet Connection Settings (wireless), choose Custom instead of Easy when the page asking for either appears).
Set the IP address to something outside your DHCP range. e.g. 192.168.0.5 (for dlink router) or 192.168.1.5 (Linksys router)Default gateway should be the IP of your router. For dlink, this should be 192.168.0.1 and Linksys should be 192.168.1.1DNS Server can be the same as your default gateway, mentioned above.
Subnet Mask should be 255.255.255.0.If you're using some sort of encryption (WEP, WAP, etc), set it in there as well when it asks to do so.
And that should get you going. I actually haven't done this on the ps3, but its my info from experience with regular pc to pc networking.
Also If you haven't tried this already, change the wireless channel from 6, to 1 or 11 in your router and wireless consoles.
If all else fails, try this http://www.clanbluntforce.com/forum/index.php?topic=864.0
