Hit start button and nothing happens

My Kenmore dishwasher will not start. I hit the start button or delayed start button and I get nothing. The other buttons work when pushed. I have done a manual reset and the dishwasher goes through its test cycle fine, has water, the arm spins, etc. After the test cycle I try hitting the start button and nothing happens. I have already changed the inlet water valve and the float switch seems fine. Any suggestions??

I have already looked at the page you suggested. I would like to know if anyone has had a similar problem and a fix or suggestions before spending $180 for new control panel

On solid state control panels and components, such as the one in your unit, once they have internal problems they are best repaired by replacement.
That is, unless you are comfortable with doing board level repairs.

Have sectional errors like this (where one part works, and other don't) are fairly common.
It also depends on the age of the unit. If it is a few years old, the chances of it breaking in one area that is commonly used are very likely.
If you have gone through the full diagnostics (which you state you have) the next step it to replace the unit.

Try first unplugging power cord for five minutes, to reset settings, if you heep getting the problem, the timer/programmer , or the whole control panel is probably brooken,
in this case you can get replacements here.

My kenmore 665 started pumping hot water without ever turning machine on

You might have a bad water valve, or a bad timer (especially if this dishwasher uses a mechanical timer - one that has a rotary dial in front).

Hi-Temp Wash, Hi-Temp Rinse, or Sanitize options.
Some models have options that may require a water heating delay, such as Hi-Temp Wash, Hi-Temp Rinse, or Sanitize. Additional time may be required to heat the water to the proper temperature. The dishwasher will continue to circulate water during this heating delay but the timer will not advance until the proper temperature is reached

I have kenmore dishwasher and the clean light is flashing green and nothing else will start.

To reset hit buttons in this order- hi temp, air dry, hi-temp, air dry. All lites will come on. You can then hit cancel. If problem recurs then unit is not washing for some reason. Keep me posted. Please leave feedback.

Hi daryano

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber

You want to know how to get the delay to work?

Most models work this way: Washing dishes the first time sets the favorites and the next time you start it the favs come on automatically provided you haven't changed the settings. So after the first use just hit delay and nothing else and when the dalay time is up it should work fine.

None of the Wash Cycles are Working

It's probably the touchpad - commonly used buttons quit working after a while. If not, then it's the electronic control board.

I just read this for the same problem: push sanitize, then heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, cancel, then open and close the door. It worked. The dishwasher is running correctly even as I type this.
