AFTER CALLING TECH SUPPORT I LEARNED THAT THE TELEVISION WAS STUCK IN DEMO MODE...REVIEWING ITS MENU OPTIONS COMPLETELY ON ITS OWN. THE TELEVISION IS PRETTY MUCH COMPLETELY UNRESPONSIVE TO THE REMOTE CONTROL EVEN AFTER PUTTING IN NEW BATTERIES AND RESETING THE DEVICE BY PRESSING ALL THE BUTTONS WHILE THE BATTS WERE NOT YET IN (AT THE SUGGESTION OF THE TECH SUPPORT GUY). I HAVE EVEN TRIED UNPLUGING THE TELEVISION FOR HOURS AT A TIME AND NOTHING CHANGES. THE OWNERS MANUAL SAYS TO PRESS RECALL, EXIT, OR POWER ON THE REMOTE BUT LIKE I SAID THE TELEVISION IS UNRESPONSIVE TO THE REMOTE. IT ALSO MENTIONED PRESSING RECALL ON THE TV SET BUT I DON'T SEE A RECALL BUTTON. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
I had the same problem...was told to unplug the TV for one minute, this resets it. Within an hour the menu started again. Then I was told to UNPLUG the TV for 4 hours...this worked and menu screen hasn't come up since! Try it!

CNETI just bought a Samsung LN46B650 and it is stuck in Store Demo mode. ... If you do get prompted to choose between HOME or STORE mode (and you might), ... on the tvfor 10-15 sec(i did almost 30)...but the store demo mode wont turn off.
I had the exact same problem yesterday. It took me 1 hour and 45 minutes to find a solution. Here is the solution: It is not a stuck button or the television being 'posessed' that is resulting in the menu cycling. It is the fact that the television is in the DEMO mode. I was able to read the manual for this television online at the Toshiba website. On page 30 it states 'To stop the DEMO mode press 'recall', ''exit', or 'power'. Unfortunately the 'recall', and 'exit' button are on the original remote which I no longer have. The power button on my model is broken. I use the cable box to 'turn on the television'. In reality, the TV is never off, it is just showing a black screen when the cable box and DVD player is off. I suspect this defect in the power button has occured on other TV's experiencing this problem. I was able to push the broken power button to the inside and side of the television casing exposing a round circle that the power button pushes when the power button is not broken. I pushed this small circle to turn the television off. After about 5 seconds I pushed the button again and the television went on without the annoying menu popping up. Just unplugging the television and plugging the television back in does not work. You need to be able to push the power button, or one of the other 2 buttons on the remote previously mentioned. Also on page 30 it explains how to activate the DEMO mode. It's not too hard to accidentally do, especially when you have kids pushing buttons haphazardly. Hit the set up button on the TV. You'll see options to change the language. The last option is to put the TV in "Demo Mode." Put the TV in Demo mode, when the first screen appears, "Welcome to...." the PIP will disappear. Hit exit before the screen moves to the "Menu." If you miss it, watch the demo once--it will restart--and hit the exit button the next time you see the "Welcome to" message.

I had the same problem. Was told to unplug the set for 1 minute but it still was stuck in menu screen scrolling. So I was told to unplug the TV for 4 hours, it resets it I guess because it worked! Try it!
I have not worked on this model of set, but on many TV models, you can get it out of the demo mode by holding down the menu button for at least 10 seconds or longer.
If this does not work call the tech support for your set. They should have a definate answer. It is also possible that there is a fault condition with the set, and it is not properly responding to the front panel controls to be able to be put out of the demo mode. But, this is not a common type of fault.
I just found a solution elsewhere on this site...
In order to make the Demo Mode stop, you should press Volume Up and Channel Up together, and hold for four seconds. This worked for my mom's tv, I hope it works for you, mooone (and everyone else, too).
