Question about Apex Digital AT2014DV 20 in. TV/DVD Combo
I have a APEX model No.at2014 DV chassis No.CN-12 DV..its about 2 years old and only gets used maybe 5 hours a week(so not much use)...yesterday my brother went to turn on the power (not with the remote) and he saw a spark and it wouldn't turn on..after we unpluged it..we noticed that the power button was pushed back (like it was pushed to hard)...so 2day i opened the tv up and saw that the power button was hagging there..so i put the screw back in and it still wont power on..i noticed while it was opened that one of the little fuses was burnt out..i assuming that i VOIDED my warranty when i opened it up (im dumb)..but any info u can give me would be a great help to a LOYAL APEX OWNER..ty
i can be reached at email@example.com
LOOK FOR MAIN FILTER CAPACITOR 270MICROFARAD 300V OR 400V. IT IS THE CAUSE OF THE BURNT OF FUSE. SEE TO IT THAT IS BULGING AT THE TOP OR ANY PART OF IT. CHANGE IT AND PUT THE ORIGINAL FUSE AND THE POWER IS BACK AGAIN.CHECK ALSO FOR HORIZONTAL OUTPUT TRANSISTOR NEAR THE FLYBACK IF IT SHORT.GOD BLESS YOU
