I have an Erazor 450. In hover the tail keeps going to the left and I have the trim tab all the way to the right to correct it but its not enough, I have to keep giving stick input. Any ideas? Dale

Hi I have purchased the Fxd flame strike r/c helicopter when I hover and try to move forward and backwards not much happens I have tried trimming the transmitter but with not much movement it just seems to...

Trimming is an adjustment used to get the helicopter to hover in place when you want it to hover in place (assuming no wind), not to adjust the gain (how fast it moves compared to control movement). If you don't have forward/back movement of the helicopter, there's a defect in there somewhere. If it's still under warranty, get it exchanged.

How could i use my iphone 4g to control my toy helicopter

Instructions
    • 1 Remove the main rotor blades, throttle up the helicopter while holding it in your hand and twist the helicopter from side to side to determine if the gyro is working. The gyro should make the tail rotor spin faster when the helicopter twists; you will be able to hear a difference. If the gyro does not appear to be working, replace it. Some gyros have a sensitivity adjustment screw; try making small adjustments if possible.
    • 2 Check the tail rotors and see if they are connected correctly. If the tail rotor blades are not pitched correctly they will not be able to hold the helicopter still.
    • 3 Test the tail rotor motor and see if it seems strong and responsive. Brushed motors, like those commonly used to drive tail rotors, can wear out in a relatively short time. Replacing the motor may solve your problem if the gyro seems to be working.
    • 4 Check the trim on your transmitter. Ideally the trim should be in the center of the stick movement. You may need to dial in some extra right trim or you may find the trim is set too far to the left.

How to correct trimming problems did what the insteuctions said and keep having the same spinning counterclockwise problem

Just bought the air hogs helicopter with the crane. Had the aircraft constantly spinning clockwise, no matter how much I turned the trim control counter clockwise the aircraft still rotated. I then turned the trim control in the opposite direction until I noticed the aircraft had stopped spinning, and used the rudder control to fine tune forward flight. So, get the aircraft to hover and turn the trim button in the opposite direction until you see that the aircraft spinning slows right down. If you continue to turn the trim control in the same direction the aircraft will increase its spin, so just dial back the trim.

3rd Di2 install and first 2 worked perfectly. On this bike when on big ring big cassette (23) get pretty good chain rub on front derailuer. Have tried setting tail of derailuer in more than usual and...

Derailleurs are mass-produced and are essentially identical to each other, so unless damaged it's unlikely to be the derailleur. A sticky cable could keep the derailleur from trimming properly. It also can lead you to think it's tight enough when it is not. Otherwise it's hard to diagnose remotely. Derailleur must be both at proper angle and height to shift well, cable both move freely and be at proper "tension."

Panel light does not come on in 1999 buick lasabre

Have you checked the fuses (driver side, next to your left knee)? If so, make sure they're the correct amperage -- especially the fuses in the 6C, 8C, and 9C positions. 6C should be 25 (amps) and 8C & 9C should both be 10 amps.

Also, the headlights on that car are designed to be on all the time, day or night, with two exceptions:
  • If the car is in "Park" you can manually slide the little tab that's located on the dash, just left of the steering wheel, all the way left and that will temporarily shut them off, or
  • If the car is not running
That same tab adjusts the sensitivity of the "is-it-dark-enough-for-me-to-turn-on-the-taillights-and-panel-lights-yet?" sensor -- the farther left that tab is, the less sensitive the sensor is; all the way right means "really sensitive" -- try moving it all the way to the right (if it's not already).

Right above that tab is another tab that adjusts the brightness of the panel lights. If that tab is moved all the way to the left (which basically turns the panel lights off), it's possible that the panel/tail lights are actually coming on at night automatically but that you wouldn't be able to tell exactly when/if that took place because the brightness would go from "nothing" ("daytime status") to "still nothing" ("nighttime status but with the brighness all the way down"). However that tab does not control the brightness of the stereo so you'll never see any change there.

Long story short, if all the fuses are in good shape, try moving both tabs all the way to the right. :)

Hope that helps... If it doesn't solve the problem, maybe you (or whoever reads this) learned something new...??? ;) Either way, good luck!

Spinning no matter what i do

Issue: Heli spins to the Left (counterclockwise) uncontrollably.
Problem: Tail rotor not turning fast enough, Dragging.
Background: My son's Heli Cage also started spinning to the left after he had flown it a couple 3 times. The trim and direction stick could not compensate. One time, the tail rotor came off during a crash. It was put back on and ran fine a couple more times until the dreaded left spin. I began to troubleshoot the issue. I checked for damage, hair and whatever else on the shaft. There was no obvious signs. When I pulled the tail rotor off, I noticed that it came off very easily. I put a new one on it and problem solved.
Diagnosis: the tail rotor shaft was spinning inside the rotor. This prevented the tail rotor from turning the correct speed.
Corrective Measures: replace rotor with new one. Avoid hitting the rotor while it is spinning...good luck! :-)
