I got that code directly from Magellan when I cracked my screen. Call
them. I had to set up a ticket with them. It did not cost anything to
set up the ticket, but of course I had to pay for a new screen, which
was around $85. This included shipping back to me.

You may need to reset the unit by pressing and holding the power button until it reboots.
can also reset user data by holding your finger on the lower right

Keep your finger pressed until a pop up window appears. Touch YES to clear all data and return to factory settings.
If this dont work the try below
Carefully pry off the thin frame around the screen using your
fingernail. If you look carefully you will see a little finger nail
notch. Under that frame on the right side towards the corner is a reset button. Push it and it should fix
as you've already tried two different chargers, it sounds clear that it's not a charger problem. But, did you try also a different cigarette lighter? The problem may due to your car CL over power (maybe a fuse went...)
If it doesn't work please let me know, we'll try smth different.
I had the exact same problem with my 1300. Even used the word "useless" to describe its functionality. After every software update and reboot, etc. the signal strength never improved, even on a clear day with the unit outside my vehicle. Unfortunately, the only solution offered by Garmin online support was to return it. Email them and describe your problem, and they should give you a Return Material Authorization number and instructions. Haven't gotten mine back yet, so I can't tell you if they really fixed it or not.
It could be the RAM inside the plotter needs to be reset, Try the following procedure:
RAM Clear Please note this procedure will erase any saved user points such as marks and routes and will put all of the internal settings back to factory default. In addition the unit will have to reacquire satellite signals, which may take a minute or two. If you have a large number of routes and/or marks you may wish to save them to a User C-Card prior to performing the RAM clear. The User C-Card is a blank memory card that is available through your local dealer or can be purchased from C-Map directly by contacting them at (800) 424-2627. 1)With power to the GPS turned off press and hold the ENTER key. 2)Now press and hold the PWR key. 3)Keep both keys pressed until the GPS screen lights up and you see the SYSTEM TEST page displayed, then you can release both keys. IT'S OBVIOUSLY A CAR POWER ISSUE BEHIND RADIO. CHECK YOUR FUSES. CHECK ALSO FUSES BOX IN ENGINE ALSO. AND THEN CHECK THESE 3 WIRES COMING OFF BEHIND YOUR GPS. ONE IS RED FOR IGNITION KEY POWER. ONE IS BLACK FOR GROUND. ONE IS YELLOW FOR MAIN POWER. CHECK THESE 3 WIRES. ONE OF THE THREE IS NOT OR BADLY CONNECTED.
