Question about Dell Inspiron 6000 Notebook
I did not know who to contact or ask, but i am looking for a laptop strictly to take online classes. Not to watch movies or download music, etc.
And I need to know what type of internet connection I will need? I have a great desktop now and i use my cable provider for the internet connection.
AS you can tell im am clueless about laptops and theie connection!
A laptop is really nothing more then a downsized desktop PC.
Most laptops now come with a wired connection port (regular network cable) and some type of wireless.
The wireless will / should work anywhere that there is a WiFi hot spot (basically a small broadcast area).
There is another version of wireless that works like a cell phone.
So depending on the service availability where you will be using the laptop will determine what kind of connection that you need.
If your connection at home is a wired connection, you will use that same type of connection for the laptop.
Depending on your modem, if it has multiple ports, you just have to run another cable to it. If it only has one port, you can either swap it back and forth as needed, or you can get a hub to divide the signal for both computers.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
