Question about Olympus EVOLT E-300 Digital Camera

Unscrewing lenses When I change lenses, it has lately gotten very difficult--like a jar you can't get the lid off. Also, when I put the zoom on, it doesn't focus anymore--I'm not sure I am even able to twist the lens in adequately. Any suggestions on how to get that smooth twisting back?

Hello toccata, It sounds like your lens mount is cross-threaded. Have you gotten a lens off and looked closely at your camera lens threads. Are they crunched together. You may need to get your cameras lens mount replaced and check all your lenses and see if the threads aren't cross threaded. If a lens has bad threads, don't use it anymore.

How do you remove the oil filter on a Husqvarna YTH21k46

It should just unscrew. If it was put on too tight, it may be difficult. They sell a filter wrench that will go down to that size, and this will make it easier. You cam also try to use one of those rubber mats that help you get a better grip on a jar lid, if you have one handy. The first thing to try is to try to unscrew it using firm, steady hand pressure. When you go to rotate it, be firm with it, even if it doesn't move at first. When you do get it off, remember to lubricate the gasket surface of the new filter with a thin coat of engine oil so you can remove it easier the next time.

I need to know the exact placement of the gasket for the glass hopper----Manual states it should go on the glass but then it is difficult to screw the hopper on to the machine---It makes more sense to...

I had the same problem, as I had a vintage machine, missing the gasket. (Without the gasket, vibration of machine will cause jar to unscrew by itself.) Put the gasket on the glass, but slide it up on the threads so that it only contacts the machine body when jar is fully screwed in. Jar will indeed get (slightly) difficult to screw on as gasket contacts grinder adjustment ring, but that slight tension is normal and necessary in order for the gasket to achieve it's function.

How do i changs rear turn signal bulb. it looks difficult.

not too difficult. you have to go thru your trunk. Carefully peel away the trunk liner where your rear lenses are. There are three nuts you have to unscrew to pull out the entire lens. carefully unscrew and push out the lens into your free hand. locate & replace the faulty bulb, and re-attach the lens and put back the trunk liner.

Summit Toys money jar - can't get top off - won't unscrew or pull off!

I would try a rubber jar lid remover....if that doesn't work, try whacking it on the bottom a couple of times, not too hard, don't want to break it. The whack on the bottom works for jars that are sealed, not sure it will work for a bank.

I bought on of those banks for my Grandson, he likes to take it apart to see what makes it work more than putting his money into it. Go figure!

Good luck.......

Caps will not screw off to adjust sights on scope

Many cap threads are reverse. try unscrewing the other direction. If this doesnt work my suggestion is to use physics to get it off.

Image a jar that is 1 litre with a lid that is 10 cm across. it takes x amount of force to unscrew that jar.
Now if that same jar has a lid that is 25 cm across there is a power advantage and a speed reduction.

Now to apply this to your thread caps. try adding layers of tape/cloth onto the thread caps to make it easier to unscrew.

I have purchased a maxxum 450si

You have a film camera, you should have AF lenses. The AF lenses are larger round then older manual lense as you can have the older Minolta lens will fit the newer cameras, just not auto focus. If your AF is not working with AF lenses, I will assume you have power to the camera (batteries) These camera are not hard to use. To AF the camera, press the shutter down slightly (you can try without film) and it should focus on the center of your shot. Indoor and under low light, they will have trouble with these older AF bodies.

FPB-5PC How to remove blade

I would suggest wearing heavy gloves and removing all glass shards from your work area. If the shards have completely separated from the belnder collar, then you are done. If not, carefully unscrew the lid from the collar. If it won't budge, submerge the collar and blender jar parts in a very large bowl with vinegar - after 20-30 minutes, try unscrewing again (don't forget those gloves). As expensive as ther eplacement blender jar is, you could just reorder the other parts if this does not resovle the issue.

How do you change a halogen bulb in my dacor range hood

Believe it or not - they just unscrew like regular light bulbs. There is supposed to be a suction cup that came with the hood to replace the bulb - we lost ours. I was able to remove it by using a little bit of pressure on the face of the bulb and twisting it back and forth. The other bulb was stuck, so I made a "handle" using duct tape on the face of the bulb.

Zoom won't work

wow alot of people have gotten this problem with the lense in this camera.

Well to cure this problem , firstly turn on the camera, ensure the lense is out ,Then GENTLY tapp on the lense in the direction that the lense feels uneven or unequal length to the outer ring (place that looks uneven). This should hopefully get the gears aligned once more.
