Question about Olympus EVOLT E-300 Digital Camera

Unscrewing lenses When I change lenses, it has lately gotten very difficult--like a jar you can't get the lid off. Also, when I put the zoom on, it doesn't focus anymore--I'm not sure I am even able to twist the lens in adequately. Any suggestions on how to get that smooth twisting back?

Hello toccata, It sounds like your lens mount is cross-threaded. Have you gotten a lens off and looked closely at your camera lens threads. Are they crunched together. You may need to get your cameras lens mount replaced and check all your lenses and see if the threads aren't cross threaded. If a lens has bad threads, don't use it anymore.

My asahi pentax camera has a serial #6320891. Could you tell me the year? Plus have a 50 mm lens, a 49 mm close -up lens #1,2 and 4, a 67mm lens with a 67mm hase -1 lens and a vivitar auto 215 flash. Any...

these days second hand photo camera's with film, are not worth much. Some younger persons (really only a few) would like to try these camera's for a while, but they don't pay much. Not knowing what lenses you have it is impossible to guess what their value can be. A 50 mm f 1,2 would bring more than a f 2 or even a 2,8.
Then before you could put it on ebay, you should at least shoot one film, to see if the camera still works.
Lately I bought a Nikon F90 and a F50 with a zoom lens and one was 30 dollar the one with the zoom was 20 dollar. both are in excellent condition, making fine photos with different lenses.
You could try checking on ebay, what they ask for a camera like yours, but perhaps you won;t even find one.

Can i change my lens to other lenses like fish eye, wide angle or macro lens or even zoom lens?

This is a fixed lens camera so the short answer is no. However there are third party accessories lenses that can be screwed to the front of the lens to give a "fish eye" or telephoto capability. To get "Macro" there is a kit available which has a series of three close up lenses these lenses screw to the front lens element of your camera allowing for some pretty impressive macro capabilities.

Again to answer your original question no you can't change the lens on your camera

The range aperture that i can select changes i was wondering why this is.

Without more details I can't be certain, but I suspect it's changing as you zoom in and out. Many zoom lenses change their aperture range as you change the focal length. This makes the lenses smaller, lighter, and less expensive.

I think some dust or sand has gotten in the zoom,

compressed air is your best bet, but very tricky to take all apart. have you tried using a hover with some sort of small paint brush and direct all the vacume into the areas wher eyou think the sand is. might work best of luck

I dropped my sony cybershot camera , and now when i turn it on the lense will not open or move at all, how do i fix it?

Sorry, but you have likely damaged the lens tube (housing) or jarred the zoom mechanism off of its track, and there is no DIY fix for either problem. Your camera will require professional repair.

Casio exilim EX-Z700 lense won't open to take pictures

Hi there and thanks for coming to FixYa.
90 percent of the time, it's dirt, sand or grit that has gotten into the lens mechanism preventing it from opening properly. Try this:
Take an air compressor if you have one, or maybe you can use a friends, anyway, put the nozzle up to the camera and run it around the space between the lens and the camera to clean out any dirt or yuk that may have gotten in there. Best of luck. Leave me a comment if you have any other questions.

Panasonic DMC-FZ7 digital camera.

I believe the FZ7 determines that the lense cap is still on when it can't extend the zoom lense because the lense cap is in the way. I would check to see if your zoom lense housing is somehow stuck (could be sand or dirt in it) which is creating enough resistance to make the camera think the lense cap is impeding the zoom lense from extending.

Spots inside lense

Your lens needs to be disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled. It should only be done by a certified camera repair shop. It isn't something that you should try to do yourself. It will not be very expensive to have this done, probably in the neighborhood of $50.00.

Zoom won't work

wow alot of people have gotten this problem with the lense in this camera.

Well to cure this problem , firstly turn on the camera, ensure the lense is out ,Then GENTLY tapp on the lense in the direction that the lense feels uneven or unequal length to the outer ring (place that looks uneven). This should hopefully get the gears aligned once more.

My cameras got an outty !!

Has it had a bump lately? Most times this is caused by the camera being kept in the glovebox or similar. The drive gears for the lens are very fine and delicate. They are not easy to pull apart either.
