Question about Philips 64PP9901 64 in. Rear Projection Television
Hi, I have a Philips/Magnavox, model 9P6444C105 rear projection TV, manufacured in 2000. I'm the second owner of the TV, as it came built into a wall of the house we purchased recently. It has a "yellow-ish haze" effect on the screen. The picture/color separations are not very crisp. After some reading, I wonder if it's the coolants that need to be changed. Can anyone assist with an answer. I'd much rather hire a pro, but is this something that I can repair? I'm having difficulty finding an in-home repair person within 60 miles. I run my own recording studio, so I'm decent with electronics and can follow directions well. I sincerely appreciate your time.
You can get the entire coolant replacement kit at the following link. which contains 48 ounces of coolant and an instructional CD that explains the process step by step with pictures. Its listed under their repair kit catagory.
Here is the link.
