Dear shad8681,

Looks like the destructive restore did not complete alltogether. Try running the restore one more time to see if it will finish this time. If not, then try reinstalling Windows from a regular CD (like XP or so)

Good luck!

if it is during vacuumming carpets it may be static electricity generated by the plastic head over the carpet
if it happening n hard surfaces , take it in for a safety check as there may be a loose wire touching metal and causing you the shock

Garbage disposal electrical shock.

Are you sure it wasn't a static electric shock, rather than AC? If you live in a dry climate, or in a cold climate without a humidifier, and you may have walked across a carpet, it could have been a spark of static electricity. Especially if it hasn't reoccured.

Why do a 2001 daewood leganza shockes when driving

It probably static electricity. It could be caused by your feet rubbing on the carpet or your body rubbing on the seat. The steering wheel cannot conduct electricity, due to being made out of plastic. Use winter floor mats that are made out of rubber without the carpet material and see if that helps.

Electric shock from an unplugged Nintendo wii - how is this possible

It was probably just static electricity. Sometimes the body build up static electricity by just walking on a carpet or from friction of the clothes being worn. He then got the shock when he somehow grounded himself.

I walked across the room to answer cordless phone and static shocked my phone. It does not work now. Why? Can it be fixed?

In a dry climate, and you if you wear a rubber soled shoes, and when you walk on carpet to your cordless phone you will build up a static charge. When as you pick up your phone this static charge will discharge through the phone as you touch it.
The fix, avoid building a static charge by walking around without wearing shoes or move the phone to a location where there is no carpet.

I touched thrmostat to change setting when it was shocked by a carpet shock. what do i do? thanks rick

If it was just a static electricity carpet shock, raising the humidity level in your home will reduce that problem. In the winter, the interior air of the home becomes to dry. 30 to 40% humidity is about what you should try to maintain in the winter. 0% or as close as you can get to it, in the Summer.

We just started getting shocked when we turn on some of our light switches never had this happen before it started hapening right after we had lost power does anyone know what might cause this? Thanks...

It sounds like a static electricity issue to me, and if so there are many products on the market to eliminate this. The most effective are anti-static carpet spray's that can be purchased from a local carpet dealer or supply. You can research other remedies on the web.
Tip: You can create an inexpensive anti-static spray by mixing laundry fabric softener with water 50/50 into a spray bottle. Lightly mist this spray on carpets and other surfaces to prevent static buildup.
Hope this helps
Good luck...
