Question about Dell Inspiron E1505 Notebook
Didn't like Media center Edition. Installed XP pro, now audio doesn't work. Installed drivers. Ststem says sound card is working properly. But will not play audio. errors messages say either sound card not installed, or driver won't work with this system...
Ive tried several drivers...no worky.
I have a suggestion/solution for this that I need you to try. Here it is:
first, go to add or remove programs, look for Creative/SoundBlaster and Sigmatels listed there and uninstall every one of them. Then, go to Device manager and uninstall Creative/Soundblaster/Sigmatel under sound and game controllers. reboot the system.
now download and run this,
then download and install this,
Sigmatel Audio Driver
Do not install any Creative first, then let me know if this works.
I'll be waiting for your reply.
