Is there an electric interface on an old Sanyo TV model no. AVM2555? I took it apart and got it to work but it didn't work after I put the cabinet back together.

Check the connection sockets. If you haven't connected the flat cable, that connect to panel board is not in the proper way, this could happen. As you reported here, when you taken out the panel board out, and switched it ON, it has worked; means, the set have no other fault. Ask your father to check this. He can understand it. Check for any minute breaks in the PCB [ control panel] too.

I have a Sharp 32F5-40 television set. It fell about 2.5 feet to my head (.....ouch) to the floor. Now there is a red section that is ameoba in shape and is big in the center, but gets...

yes 100 % it is repairable ..... but it depends on tv service engineer ..... expert tv service engineer can solve that .... & non experts cannot ........... when tv falls down (like in your case ) ..... on mainboard cracks will develop due to fall....... then many connections (tracks) will get disconnected........ main board has to be observed carefully & then all the broken connections must be reconnected ..... that's all ............. your tv will again works normally ...... chances of tv tube & components getting damaged due to fall is ZERO %................... so approach expert tv service engineer ........

Hello, my 25" Magnovox (#mt2501c)

Tv fell off about 3 feets or more?Yes,turn on the tv see if u getting any power to the unit?Might have broken main PCB board too.If unit still have power, check see if tv get statics screen have colors shaded in red or mutiples colors, mean the tv CRT(tv tube) yoke is dead and damages scrambles radiation.Or the tv getting power but have high pitch sqeeling noises or rattles noises,tv have the CRT-(tv tube) is crack by the neck or broken totally.CRT have damages problems or dead tv is worthless, beacause of CRT(tv tube) is dead, not fixable even that antena connector input is replaced.

My power cord fell off. Took off the back of the

there is a small board with a small transformer . the plug is located next to that small transformer. if the cord originally came from the right hand side if you are looking at tv from the back. the plug is on that right board. if the tv cord came from the left side, the plug is located on the main board in the front of tv. the plug in both situations are the same, it is white in color and has 2 or three pins sticking straight up.

Cable input jack bronken off

Actually I just repaired one of these "similar" units. If you remove the backing of the tv, unpluged of course, Theres a panel facing you if you are looking at the right side of the TV. This panel pops off easily with a light prying motion all around. You'll see where the connector broke off and can solder it back together with a small pin type tip. Solder the center pin to the center probe first, hold in place with needle nose pliers. 2 people are better than one at this. Then lay down agood bead of solder around the perimeter of the connector. Clean up any solder that may have dropped and put it back together, you'll be ready to go in about one hours time. Let me know how it goes!!!

Fell, won't turn on

for sure the main board its broken and 80% chances that the picture tube has some internal damage that may can cause a rainbow effect, discoloration or color shadows. if you want it to try you can find the broke line traces on the main board , you can buy some tools at any radio shack store , and follow intructions . but its your bet to try the risk to have that picture disoloration and or learn some electronics

My tv will not turn on

I took my TV apart and solved the problem on my own. For those of you that have basic electrical skills and can solder it is an easy fix that only takes about one hour. I removed the rear cover and pulled the left side board which houses the flyback transformer, easily identifiable by the big orande wire coming off of the top. If one looks carfully the soulder connection will probably be broken or loose which can be caused by movement or heat. I resoldered all of the connections for the transformer about 12 and the grounding wire to the left, a single black wire that plugs into the board. Once this was done I put ti all back together again and no problems since!
