Garmin C330 Disassembly

Hello,

How did you manage to disassemble the Garmin C330? I want to install an 1/8 in stereo audio out jack and cant seem to get the case apart to see if there is room for one let alone do the install. Any help would be appreciated.

How can I my 2004 Honda Goldwing mic to work with my Garmin Zumo 665 to answer my cellphone? The phone bluetooth connection works fine with the Garmin in my car, but my Honda mic does not work through the...

Hello,

The microphone input from the Zumo 665 motorcycle mounting cradle is the smaller 2.5mm jack.
Be sure to use this one as some microphone jacks will require a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter.
The audio output is the 3.5mm jack.
Be sure not to confuse the two.
It may be necessary to have a custom 5 or 7 pin DIN adapter made to connect between the GW audio system and the Zumo.
It would be best to consult with your local Honda GoldWing dealer for more information on interfacing the GW audio system.

The internal battery is dead. How do I replace the the old battery with a new one. Please explain how to open the battery compartment and how to install a new lithium-ion battery.

The internal battery, that only Garmin can change. It would cost $125 just to send the unit in if it needed work outside of the warranty period.....hopefully the battery will last about five years. If you get it replaced from Garmin. If still you want to void the warranty and get it opened then there is step by step images shown how to open the unit. But that actually damages the unit. Click this link directly:--- There are total 26 images showing step by step procedure.Click on each image and continue disassembly. http://content.techrepublic.com.com/2346-22_11-178052-6.html?tag=content;leftCol ---------------- Thanks. Garmin c 340 froze- what do I do

This solution is for c330 but it should work the same...

It took a nap...

Waking up your c330...

If you left your Garmin c330 on running the battery will have 1% life left. If you turn c330 back on again, it will flash screen for 3 seconds then die, even charging it at this point will not wake it back up. TO BRING IT BACK TO LIFE... plug in the power home or car into Garmin c330. There is a tab in the front Garmin gray frame of your screen. You must take like your fingernails and under the logo "GARMIN" pull the whole gray plastic frame off. Underneath the plastic frame to the right hand side. There is a "RESET" button. Make sure power is plugged in while hitting reset. Your battery should come back to life. Cheers

How to update my garmin c330

Hi,
Either Jack it to a Pc and run the dvd software,
Or copy the files to the Nuvi drive folder, in your My computer,

Go to Menu, maps, map info, tick any boxes that are needed,
You may need your unit I.D. to activate
Menu-tools-system-about,
Serial number is on the sticker,
You can also do all this management too at Garmin.
Go to your account at Garmin.com/managemaps.

Hope this helps
Regards.

GARMIN NUVI 350

HI Heather,

Make sure you don't have the sound muted. Have you tried plugging in a set of headphones into the headphone jack? If you can hear sound with the headphones, most likely, the internal speakers have failed. If you still can't hear any sound, the audio output stage on the motherboard has failed. In either case, you will need to send the unit back for repair. Be sure to have your serial number handy. Register it online https://my.garmin.com/mygarmin/marketing/register.htm
if you haven't already done so.

More Info: If you can hear sound through the speakers and don't want to send the unit back for repair, you can buy a FM transmitter at Best Buy - the kind that will allow you to play a portable CD player through your car stereo. Just plug the transmitter's audio input cable into your GPS headphone jack, power the transmitter with your car lighter jack, set the transmitter frequency to a unsued FM channel and tune your car stereo to tha same channel. You should hear your GPS through your FM stereo.

Good Luck,
- Jim
