NORTON, my luck with Norton has not been good, and as jeicrash mentioned, check your expiration. I have found norton is sometimes very hard to remove, Did you install from the internet or a disc. Calling Norton if you can get a person, will give you download sites that will fix this problem, they will also tell you if your Norton is up to date and paid for. Personal advise if you have to purchase I would not. There are good or better Anti-Virus protection out there at a less expensive price that does not slow you computer down as much as Norton and for that Mcaffee is about the same as to slowness. What happens when you try to download the updates???

In my experience Norton can become flakey at times. Make sure your subscription to norton has not expired. Otherwise try un-installing norton and re-installing it. Part of it may have become corrupted.

Install Microsoft Security Essentials [http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/] -- it is a free Antivirus/Antispyware product created by Microsoft. It will perform routine scans, is very easy to use, and won't slow your computer down.

Virus on pc. installed norton internet security.

Never before have I heard of a VIRUS installing ANTI-VIRUS software. I have had intermittent mouse problems before though. Thought it was a virus, as I interchanged with like 4 other (used) mouses (mice?) and there was no change. Found a fifth used mouse-a genuine Microsoft mouse (I was running Vista 64bit Home Premium) and installed it and my mouse problem disappeared ("installing new device"). I couldn't figure it out for the longest time, (still can't), I'm just glad it cleared up.
I run AVG FREE antivirus software and Ad-Aware anti-spyware (also FREE). I run both of those at least once a week, in addition to defragmenting once a week, haven't had a problem since.

Everything that I go to this keeps popping up RUNDLL Error loading C:/Windows system 32/_c00F3AO.dat %1 is not valid Win 32 application

this sounds like a classic case of spyware in your computer. you need to install an anti virus spyware package, e.g. norton antivirus. once installed run an anti virus scan and spyware scan it should solve your problem.

My norton icon is showing a red cross on it saying its at risk and to scan it. but it wont scan

You probably have a spyware or adware problem. Do a Google on Ad-Aware, dowload and install it, and try running it. If that doesn't work, go to the Tech Support Guy forum (Google it), register as a member, and ask for help in the Security forum. They will help you clean your computer up, free of charge.

I've already purchased Norton antivirus 2008 with antispyware and loaded but my screen still blue and shows Warning spyware detected in computer & to install antivirus or spyware wich i did.

That blue screen sounds like a trick to me. Many viruses and spywares or the websites that distribute them make beleive that they are causing viruses then provide links to fake antivirus and spyware removal programs that actually make your system worst.

Use the Norton to purchased to do a full deep scan of your system. I also like to supplement my Norton by running the free scan at housecall.trendmicro.com when I suspect there might be a problem on my machine that Norton can't fix.
